Given the hype of the extension and a 'new Big Brother', I was expecting some kind of design change. Whatever people say, the house design has pretty much remained unchanged since it moved to Channel 5. All they've done every year is move walls around slightly, move some furinature and redecorate. The central core of the house, staircase/living room/dining area has been one large open space since the show moved to C5.

A house design doesn't really make or break a series, however it shows a lack of imagination.

BB14 was the best C5 house. This years house looks OK, quite arty, but I'm not feeling it from the pictures released so far, nothing really stands out to make you look at it in future and go 'yes, that was the BB17 house' - it's reminding me more of the early C5 generic decorated houses.

Surely even Marcus himself should consider a less is more approach. Marcus's voiceovers were so great back in the day, it was almost dead pan in its dullness but was great. We've had Peter Dickinson-esque voiceovers from Marcus for long enough now, it's time to go back full circle.

He should go for quiet, understated, almost mysterious vibes. Viewers would resonate more with that than the melodramatic bellowing we get now.

I agree. In Rylan's live video yesterday he said people are complaining about all the teasing but it's no fun if the fans know everything. It's meant to be US that's in control, we should always know what's happening which is why viewers used to know EVERYTHING that was going to happen before it happened. Nowadays Emma is just like 'Tune in next Friday for another live twist!' and we have no idea what's gonna happen until it's actually happening.

Exactly. It's really obvious things are done last minute, for example when Timewarp was meant to be a week long thing - then suddenly the ex housemates were staying for an extra week and then they brought in Aisleyne 2 days before it was meant to end and she ended up staying a week so then they had to bring more ex housemates in for another week like Jasmine Lennard and Charley. They seem to just take things as they come rather than actually know exactly what's going to happen day by day/week by week.

I agree, and this doesn't even come from a place of hating him because I think he's a decent enough guy...but why the **** has he become the God of Big Brother and the spokesperson for this series? I'm sick to ****ing death of it.

It's even worse when he promises us something and then it turns out to be nothing, or he says news is 'imminent' and then makes us wait over an hour (at least Emma's tease only lasted 20 minutes).

The build up to this series has been one of the worst I can ever remember, which is a shame because with what they have planned and the things they've designed it should've been one of the best. I am seriously on the brink of losing any excitement I have because I'm fed up of waiting and relying on Rylan alone to provide us with any news. The official Twitter has barely posted anything these last couple of weeks, just retweeted Rylan and Emma...what's that all about?

And as for the house pics, releasing only five is just taking the piss. Even if they don't want us to see every room, at least give us some more angles to work with. I miss the midnight release and the press having all the pics, this year we had to rely on Emma and Rylan and it seems so tacky :bored:
