Back by semi-popular demand...

This season, I'm being joined in running the game by none other than resident psychopath Dezzy. The tasks and format shall still be overseen by me but he's very kindly agreed to help with ideas, characters and stories so soon after the latest excellent installment of Darkwood Isle :love:

- The game requires sixteen players
- Each task of the game will last 48 hours and shouldn't be too taxing on you as a player, so don't worry if you don't think you'd be active enough!
- Each task will have a team leader who must guide the rest of you to victory, or pay a price.
- One killer will be working under the radar to pick the rest of you off however they see fit. At the end of each task, one player will sadly snuff it.
- Five players will survive all the way to the final, when I and some judges - as well as the rest of the forum, and your dead colleagues - will decide who is the winner.

I can now confirm the five judges of ICB7 will be myself, Braden, Liam-, Dezzy and Jarrod. Two have won, one was the killer, one runs the game and Dezzy... well he just kept dying but he always comes back for more.

I've so far managed to convince 10 members to take part which is great considering I've only just posted the thread... I won't panic about the other six until a week before it starts :laugh: but just wanted to publicly thank everyone who replied to my requests, even if it was to politely decline, because I understand a lot of you're getting a lot busier around this time of year :spin2: Don't worry if I haven't messaged you yet, I only asked ten or so members :laugh:

In much better news: I've almost completed all of the tasks already. Last year when making ICB7 before I postponed it, I 100% completed the obligatory "Music Clips" task so that video's ready to upload when I need it, and then I've completed three others (one which I've poached from the pub quiz I was going to run :hehe:) and the rest don't require too much effort at all...

In recent years I've not quite found the motivation to run forum games as extensive as this one so I have to thank Dezzy as well for coming up with ideas for me... I think in the past six editions of the game I've exhausted every cause of death, every character type imaginable and his ideas are breathing new death into them :love:

I'm about to start PMing all of the players their characters now. It goes without saying that you can't share your information and bios with anyone else playing (or indeed the forum) since:

- If you're the Killer, it'll compromise you
- and even if you aren't the Killer, you could become the replacement Killer if the original is caught out :pipe:

Clues on the story will be continually posted throughout the game so don't feel like you need to prove your character's innocence through them, just make yourself a useful asset to the team in the tasks :p

Whilst I try and work out just what exactly has happened to my grammar in the above sentence, you should bear in mind:

- If the team passes the task, the team leader is automatically safe.
- In addition, he or she is then responsible for choosing the two players who will go offline (this was formerly called Isolation but it ties into my new forum theme so yay)
- If the team fail the task, however, then the team leader will automatically be one of the two going offline. He/she would still choose the other one so the rest of the team shouldn't really give him/her reason to choose them :p

It might sound like a raw deal but good leadership and risky/brave strategy throughout this game is ultimately going to appeal to the judges and fanfiction writers. *points at Mokka who is currently doodling hearts around Marsh's name*

So yeah - a decision before the game begins please. And the game begins at 8pm on Friday :) If someone could PM me the group's final decision that would be lovely.

I would like to give it a go tbh but I think it's probably best if you do it. I don't really know what to expect from the game so it could be a big mess if I take it and realise I don't know what I'm doing :laugh: (and end up getting people eliminated). People would probably feel more confident with you being leader, plus you'll be around when the game starts and I won't be, it just makes more sense for you to do it I think. So I'll back down from it, you'll do a great job!

Over the next two days, I will change my TiBB Avatar 50 times. Which is rather handy really because I've grown tired of the ICB Forum Admin skull aesthetic. Your group task is simple: you must, within 15 minutes of me uploading the new avatar, reply to the thread with a name or description of what or who is in my avatar.

You might be wondering how the group element comes into play. Well:

- Amy Jade, as team leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that all sixteen players respond in time to at least one of the changes. I'm not going to be mean and do them all at unreasonable times, so I shall try to spread them out fairly evenly. If all sixteen of you claim at least one correct answer, the group pass and Amy Jade is safe.
- That would mean that you only need to get 16 correct, right? Well, as an extra incentive, the player with the most points at the end of the task will automatically win immunity. I won't be keeping you updated on the scores on that front, just to build the suspense.
- Thus the problem arises: do you go all out for immunity and screw the team over, or help out as much as you can to make sure that Amy Jade doesn't pick you to go Offline? Remember: you might get immunity for this task but you might annoy someone else and if you don't have immunity later on... gulp...
- This first avatar of a smoking grim reaper doesn't count.
- I will only accept the first correct answer. Don't worry about 'fails' for this task, if someone responds first with an incorrect answer I'll just ignore it.
- However, I won't accept edited posts.
