This show is just too big for her limited talents. On DWTS in USA the host is an ex-stand up comedian and the difference is clear for anyone to see. They cant replace her it would look bad to replace one of the few prime time female presenters given their other pay gap issues so all in all Tess is one lucky lady.

Karim's clearly the best dancer in the competition this series imo.

Alex and Chris are probably the contestants that I'm underdog rooting for to do well at this point.

Michelle I thought danced well, but broke the theme massively and was lucky to get a 32 tbh.

Kelvin I thought did well but was a bit overscored imo.

And Emma B's dance was from a viewer perspective quite dull in my view, I thought that she showed her nerves at points in the dance too.

Imo I would've been happy with the leaderboard being something like this.

2. Kelvin & Oti - 37/40
3. Alex & Neil - 34/40
4. Chris & Karen - 33/40
4. Saffron & AJ - 33/40
6. Michelle & Giovanni - 29/40
7. Emma B & Anton - 28/40 (I really didn't get the judges scores with this dance)

Based on the real leaderboard, I think that Alex and Saffron will meet in the bottom two as Michelle will rebound I think.

Tbf I didn't mind Faye or Ashley last year either. Admittedly Alexandra grinded my gears a little bit in her year.

For me I feel that when the year is over people will remember more high quality performances off Karim than they will off Kelvin as it currently stands.

Kelvin's a good dancer, but he has also had off nights, and does suffer with the judges overscoring his slow dances (his kryptonite) so that makes me personally enjoy Karim's journey more.

The category was (hah) street/commercial, I think the routine was much more commercial than street dance tbf, I think she did great, definitely wasn’t her best, but it definitely didn’t deserve to be bottom of the board

Alex - overmarked, just stomping around, throwing a tantrum like a diva, shapings very poor

Karim - swivels looked sloppy, it didn't look fun at all, and he needed to smile more, but if cry the former week, you get 10's from judges the next week :idc:

Michelle - undermarked, i gave her a 10 because it was a perfect Vogue performance, tribute to that iconic madonna vogue performance

Karim just isn't in your face like some of the others. His emotion is more subtle. I'm glad Shirley and Bruno got it.

Karim a 10, because i did get the story, emotion from him

and most of the dance moves had good flow and meaning (which is important in this dance style)


i can agree with you about Saffron (i also haven't warmed to her) however i scored that samba a 8, mostly because i respect AJ's choreo, dedication to dance content, and he did everything right there, the mistakes (if there were any as judges said was clearly on saffron to blame)


Emma was overmarked, i found her a bit wooden while you should be light on your feet, and top half should also have a form of grace (which was lacking from her side) anton was perfect though, as king of ballroom, he didn't do anything wrong, emma made mistakes quite visible ones too


Alex i thought was phenomenal, Craig with his 4 i was like WTF (but then again only AT he likes is probably legsy mcgee :notimpressed: ) her footwork, kicks and flicks were awesome, the passion, Chemistry, fire was clearly there, spot on, music was also great (i'm not keen on more traditional AT music myself)


Chris's Paso, i loved it, same as his tango but he upped his game even more, this is so different from the comedian he is, showing himself to be a good serious dancer :) again i loved the music choice, really dark, goth, powerful


Kelvin's commercial dance was divine, i mean this is watching an upgraded danny mac, also nice seeing his background story, and great they had a song which really connected to him, his family

50's feel was captured to perfection, Oti really impresses me this year with her choreo's too :clap2:
