okay first of all, :rolleyes: to negativity of this weeks performances in here, i enjoyed most of them equally

secondly summarizing each couple

Jamie & Karen

dance1 (Salsa): technically it had flaws ok, but he and karen did everything they could with this hard dance, i agreed with Craig, very great disco vibes all over

dance2 (quickstep): enjoyable performance, i of course having worked on a farm liked every bit of attention of detail in the performance, fabulous

Ranvir & Giovanni

dance1 (Waltz): again it feels like watching a repeat of her VW, Foxtrot, American Smooth, and again it leaves me cold, the song was brilliant, the execution of the dance was poor and overmarked too

dance2 (Jive): now we know why they had let her avoid out of hold dances LOL, a dance disaster darling, also Giovanni u are not Massimo Sinato by far, i think Gio will never win a glitterball, let alone 3 glitterballs

Bill & Oti

dance1 (Charleston): i liked the slapstick comedy vibe, character was played to perfection, i first thought was there not many swivel but i do believe Craig to his word if there was enough swivel, overall i liked it again

dance2 (Tango): Does Metal suit a Tango, yes definitely, also love the fire/passion in this, a serious face throughout check, staccato movement yes, rock on Bill, rock on

Maisie & Gorka

dance1 (streetdance): i've seen a lot of streetdance, but this comes closest to real street out of all street/commercials from strictly so far, this was dope :clap1:

dance2 (Viennese Waltz): i liked the guitar element, clever thinking Gorka with this choreo, footwork was neat, the whole thing was elegant, classy, beautiful, i had goosebumps

HRVY & Janette

dance1 (Rumba): i disagree with the judges, i don't look at technique, but with rumba's i pay attention to storytelling (that was divine), genuine emotion (yes i also saw and felt that), the snowglobe effect was very nice for the added intimacy, was it sensual or sexy NO but i hate too sexy rumba's (yes looking at you Gio :fist:)

dance2 (Charleston): it still amazes me how you can do a fast dance in such tight trousers, love the acrobatic skills, humour, chemistry, swivel to sum it up La La Lovely :worship:

My rankings for the Semi-final performances.

Round 1:
1. Maisie & Gorka - Street - A bit overscored imo, but still a very strong dance.
2. Bill & Oti - Charleston
3. Jamie & Karen - Salsa
4. HRVY & Janette - Rumba - I'm not very keen on Rumba's tbf.
5. Ranvir & Giovanni - Waltz - I'm sorry but it's just another lifeless dance from Ranvir imo.

Round 2:
1. HRVY & Janette - Charleston - Absolutely fantastic! Imo the dance of the night.
2. Bill & Oti - Tango - Terribly underscored imo, Shirley definitely took a pot shot at him because he danced to a Rock number as she went for Aston's Paso in his year when he danced to Smells Like Teen Spirit so we know that she's a bit dull in her Music taste imo. I also suspect that she went for Bill's Tango harshly because Craig dared to diss HRVY who's Shirley's favourite, and she decided to go for Bill knowing that Craig likes him which shows her to be quite petty.
3. Maisie & Gorka - Viennese Waltz
4. Jamie & Karen - Quickstep - It was fun, but it was nothing like a Quickstep to me.
5. Ranvir & Giovanni - Jive - Credit to her for finally doing another uptempo dance since the Cha Cha Cha, but it was quite bad imo.


Overall rankings:
1st Place - Maisie & Gorka - 8 points
2nd Place - Bill & Oti - 8 points
3rd Place - HRVY & Janette - 7 points
4th Place - Jamie & Karen - 5 points
5th Place - Ranvir & Giovanni - 2 points

Bottom Two should be imo - Ranvir vs Jamie

Imo Ranvir is clearly the weakest dancer left in the competition and the worst thing is that she's meant to be taken seriously.

Double dance night did not disappoint! There were ups, downs and plenty of surprises from each of our five couples, with Maisie and Gorka emerging as the winners of the night with a perfect 30 and a score of 29 for their respective routines.

HRVY and Janette took the second spot with a combined score of 53, followed by Jamie and Karen and Bill and Oti both with 48. Meanwhile, Ranvir and Giovanni landed bottom of the leaderboard with 44 for their Semi Final Waltz and Jive.

Those scores have now been combined with your votes, securing four of our five dancing duos a coveted spot in next Saturday's Final. So who will be going through to the ultimate week of Strictly? And which pair will have to bow out just one week short? It's not long until we find out!

As well as the excitement of revealing our final four, our spectacular Results Show will feature yet another sensational routine from our Pros, as well as performance from Little Mix.

Jamie was better in the dance off, and i think the fact that Ranvir was horrendous in Jive also played a part in who to save, who had more finalist worthy potential

Eight fabulous weekends of Strictly down, and now there's just one more night to go. But it's not just any night, it's the one we've all been waiting for... the 2020 Grand Final!

Our four remaining couples will be dancing their socks off for the Glitterball trophy tonight, bringing their best to the Ballroom with three fantastic routines each. They'll be bringing back their favourite dance of the series, as well as a Judges' Pick and of course, a brand new spectacular Showdance.

While the Judges will be scoring each performance, the winner is 100 per cent decided by you at home, so every vote really counts. The vote will open once all four couples have performed their first routine and will remain open until Claudia announces it's closed during the show. So make sure you're on the Strictly homepage, logged in and ready to vote when the time comes to pick your winners!

We'll also be sharing live reactions from our Strictly stars and the best moments from the Final over on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, so be sure to follow us for all the Strictly magic you'll ever need.

Tbf he has been a fantastic contestant throughout the series, HRVY definitely deserved his spot in the final.

I've got to say that Bill winning has definitely brightened up my day though after the news that we all heard earlier about tier 4, and Birmingham City losing to ****ing Middlesbrough 4-1.:fist::joker:

lets dance i had predicted the winner correctly three times in a row now, all 3 times my favourite

even the duffers over there (most of them) are not bad either

music choices are better too, traditional latin songs for party latins, traditional tango music :flutter: few french songs which make romantic rumba's, Jives which are my cup of tea also too nice classic tunes

It was a great final no doubt.

Bill warranted his win.
For his efforts alone too.

No, he wasn't the greatest dancer, however he brought entertainment to the show too in a serious way.
Not in a way that was over the top as some other celebrities have tried to do to cover their errors or bad performing.

Maisie lifted her game too.
Then she hasn't been weak through the series really.

I think HRVY was the best dancer and performer, I wanted him to win, voted for him.
However it was between him and Bill for me.
So I congratulate Bill on a well deserved win.
Which it would have been too for both HRVY and Maisie too had they won.

No matter my reservations on the panel.
This series has been a breath of fresh air on Saturday evenings.
So glad it was able to be on amidst all the worries and gloom around a great many people at the present time across the UK.

my fave performances of last night were

Jamie's CC (i mean my bias bc of that song, very great technical quality of 90's streetdance)

Maisie's Showdance (emotional, christmassy what we need now more than ever that wonderful feeling)

HRVY's Jive (it was 110% better than in week 1), HRVY's showdance (i liked the remixed version of boogie wonderland, also mentioning his name was kinda nice to create that music festival feeling they aimed for)


Nicola & Katya's argentine tango moment, very nice too :love:


eliminated celeb/pro group dance also lovely, Caroline/Johannes one of best partnerships strictly ever had, they genuinely had so much fun, nice seeing Jason's star wars moment again, JJ's foxtrot moment :clap2:

for HRVY strictly has been good for even extra dance/performing experience he can always take that with him for future tours, concerts
