no one is going to pay £100m+ for kane now
You'd be surprised.
Kane is a world class striker that's having an off season, I bet that Barcelona would kill to have him in their team at the moment and that's just one I can think of.
Obviously a sad day for Man Utd fans, I think that you guys will pick up once Solskjaer's gone though.
Solskjaer I think has done really well at stabilizing the club, but he can't take them to the next level which is winning trophies.

In fairness it was a two footed challenge.:laugh:Nothing wrong with that in my book, as long as you take the ball first then it's a tackle, or it used to be a tackle before the health and safety mob ruined things.
I wonder if they’re considering asking Fergie to take over till the Summer ?

I think they had to change the rules a little bit on two footed tackles because of players getting hurt like what happened to Keita today.

Tbh that would be a bad idea as the club needs to show that they can cope without Fergie.

hope Ole gets to stay
it is not the manager's fault
this is on the players to blame, those ego's like Harry Maguire, or grandpa De Gea
Nicky91
25-10-2021, 08:42 AM
Harry Maguire rated with a 0.0
says enough, and Southgate keeps calling him up for england team everytime as well :laugh3:
no room for his huge ego in the defence, you need to be a team
sack de gea, and invest in a new and younger more talented goalkeeper as well i'd say
hope Ole gets to stay
it is not the manager's fault
this is on the players to blame, those ego's like Harry Maguire, or grandpa De GeaI agree, winning culture comes from the attitudes of players. A manager can only get players fit and try to motivate players but in the end it comes down to the attitude of the 11 players that take to the playing field. I wouldn't dream of blaming a manager for my poor performance, I'd know it was down to me.

those who brought United to s**t were Moyes to begin with (Sir Alex's legacy was too much weight on David's shoulders, and also project renewal of the team well David Moyes is not the right man for that sort of job)
and hiring Louis van Gaal was a mistake as well, since his style of play does not fit in with United's preferred tactics well (not to forget having got deadwood like Daley Blind who cannot defend even if he will continue to play for next 40 or 50 years, there is no superstar in him, and the Depay ego)
Ole made United better again after those two flop managers
what is going on now is certainly not his fault, i think they never should've brought back Ronaldo, but more focus on younger newer talent, and main focus on the academy
don't know who is in charge of transfer policies think the sports director that one should be held partial blame + secondly ego players like Harry Maguire, Edinson Cavani should be disciplined for their lackings of team player qualities, David de Gea really had his best time at United and also time for him to be going now
Nicky91
25-10-2021, 08:56 AM
but this weekend was a weekend of big losses also in europe
Ajax winning at home with 5-0 (same result as at Old Trafford but then other way around) over PSV, PSV also having problems, signing the wrong forwards who can't score goals, and a lacklustre defence, and a captain (Van Ginkel) who has the wrong mindset, already giving up on the match at 2-0
Schmidt is a good manager of ours, and i understand him as well in terms of too many matches being played at the moment, so he needs to swap players more than he would want
the united team is unbalanced. It's team building 101 ... get the balance right and you can achieve miracles even with several mediocre players. All the troubles with tactics etc stem from the fact the team is unbalanced, and the only person to blame for that is Ole

no offense but the loser who unnecessarily brought CR7 to this team is responsible for this current mess
under Ole they have been pretty much consistent before in games against their rivals
the reason why Ronaldo was a ''hero of the club'' before was more down to Carlos Queiroz, the man who made Ronaldo successful basically, his father figure, if Carlos was not Sir Alex's right hand man, i strongly doubt Ronaldo would've been a superstar player
No offence but Arsenal will be lucky to make the top 6.

great news that Solskjaer gets to stay :clap1: :clap1:
I like Solskjaer when he speaks on TV, and I honestly don't believe that all of the problems at Man Utd are his fault.
However what does the Glazers expect Solskjaer to do with this team that he hasn't achieved in three years? Are they seriously willing to risk another season going by where Man Utd doesn't win any trophies?
Even if Man Utd beats Spurs and Man City, it's just delaying the inevitable at this point.
The individual flair philosophy works for 1 or 2 members of the team, not 10 of them
The majority of the team needs to perform as a well oiled unit and united are just not doing that. That is part tactics and part team selection, both of which are the responsibility of the manager. You just can't have a player in the team where he mows down a player within 15 mins of coming on and gets sent off, His skill level doesn't enter into it if he cant perform at the same level week in week out. United have a great team if they throw the dice and it works one week, but it won't happen the next week.
The manager bought and picked this team, it's his responsibility. He has to go

will they win against PSG, NO

think they will stay above Brighton, since they are up against Liverpool and that is basically a lost cause already given what superb form Liverpool are in currently
Tottenham though, i can see them win against United and that meaning the exit for OGS at United, just hope United will not go for Conte since he is known for short term spells and that is not what United wants, the United team is a long term project so Conte is not a good choice at all (same how Moyes is a big flop)

I'm probably not one to talk with the team that I support, but jfc at Spurs performance today.
Man Utd have just come from conceding 11 goals in their last 3 games in all competitions, and Tottenham don't even have a shot on target against them?
Tbh I'm expecting both Ole & Nuno to get sacked soon if their teams keep playing like this, and I get that Man Utd won today, but that was more because Tottenham were even worse more than Solskjaer's a tactical genius.
Hopefully Man Utd do build on today though as they need to be winning trophies.

Away to Atalanta .. then home to ManC .. away to Chelsea .. then Arsenal and Crystal Palace .
All those in the next four weeks and all on great form .

Apparently Watford played well and fully deserved to win.
With Calvert-Lewin out for a while we need to adapt and learn how to play without our target man or we could be in for fall down the table.Yep, I said we could go backwards without DCL.
Some players are replaceable and some are not.

Sounds as though he’s been promised a huge war chest of cash to spend as soon as Jan ..
Guess he’s only got to sort out the defence and fine tune Kane and Son then he’s good to go for the window

rather try and sell Kane for whatever good price possible
as if he is worth 100 million, they are better off with him leaving and someone new up forward instead, what has he added this season for them, NOTHING
think if Kane is gone, and Son is promised to be the next star player i think Son will become better and better, but he'll need someone who can deliver the assists, more of those around him, so maybe new no.10

I agree and I think Son is a brilliant player too.
Son is not consistent and neither is Kane, i cant see that changing under Conte. Conte will demand effort or they will be dropped though so Kane has some serious thinking to do

I agree with you Zizu.
Obviously I'm no Villa fan, but he took a team that were a mess of a club, and he had them playing some decent Football that I haven't seen Villa play before in my lifetime (especially the 7-2 game against an incredible Liverpool team) yet the first sign of trouble comes and they don't even give him a chance to fix it? That's pretty cold from the owners imo.
I just want to add btw well done to West Ham, I bet that LT & MTVN are chuffed with the result.

They got lucky so many times today ..
The first goal ... the missed sending off for that horrendous assault on Henderson.
The missed foul on Mane which lead to the breakaway goal ( with the fortunate finish )
Souček could have been sent off twice for repetitive fouls ..

There was nothing wrong with the first goal, Alisson just floundered in goal which does happen sometimes in Football.
Admittedly the foul on Henderson was lucky to not result in a red card.

yes quite surprising, 3-2 win for West Ham over Liverpool
always had seen West Ham myself as pretty inconsistent, but good to see they have upped their game recent years
you can also see how David Moyes fits in perfectly with them compared to how he flopped at Man United (but honestly Sir Alex's legacy was a bit too high expectations for him)

you can also see how David Moyes fits in perfectly with them compared to how he flopped at Man United (but honestly Sir Alex's legacy was a bit too high expectations for him)There were too many big timers at Manchester United at the time Moyes took over and they let him down, they never performed to their standards the way they did for Fergie, and a lot of their greedy fans were against Moyes from the start. Given time he'd have built his own team that would have bought into his philosophy.
At Everton and West Ham, he's built teams where he gets the best out of players.
One of the great managers in Premier League history.

I can’t abide counter attack teams so I’m biased ..
It will be interesting to see how they manage when Antonio has his next injury lay-off - he’s only managed 168 games on the last 7 seasons - Barca’s 18 yr old Pedri played over 80 last season ( including the Euros and the Olympics)

Ole will be gone I think this time tomorrow, even if we come back from the goal down, I think his time is done sadly

He’s a lovely, lovely bloke but he should have never got the United job tbh
All those years wasted along with half a billion pounds he spent

2:0 down now .. it’s a good job Brendon’s team lost heavily earlier on or OGS would be on very sticky ground

can't blame Ole for giving up now after how they treated him :fan:
but also i agree with him for not resigning immediately, since then you won't get any money from this if you leave by yourself

his time was already done before this match in that most rude way how they let him know that they will only keep him until they found the perfect candidate to replace him
:yuk:
hoping they haven't yet and Ole won't leave on his own, so pls Ole continue to troll United to death by keep losing those matches :fan:

How Leicester convinced us to pay £80million for him is beyond me.

In all honesty....his time was up long ago. He should really have stayed caretaker only. He didn't have the pedigree or experience needed. Now we have missed out on Conte, no idea who will take over, or when.
