Have to say that ManC do seem to be fortunate time after time as the opposing team’s best players seem to be missing when they play city ..
It’s happened again today ..
Leeds missing their captain /best defender plus their best striker as well
Brighton had their two best players missing as well ...

Everton once qualified for the European Cup, back in the days when it was what it said on the tin and only the champions could qualify, not the team who finishes 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Liverpool were so jealous of us that they threw their usual tantrum and started rioting and killing opposition fans until they got us and every other English club banned.
They're the scum of football.

They're the scum of football.
Liverpool had 4 European cups at that time but as a lad, I do remember being told about the infamous redshiite meeting in the grafton, where it was decided that Everton couldn't be allowed to play in that cup, regardless of the consequences.
Shanks, Elisha Scott, Paisley, ad Billy Liddell chaired it, if the stories are correct.
Chelsea starting to lose their heads, playing right into Everton's game plan.
Chelsea allowed Everton to get under their skin, poor performance by us, Everton's game plan worked, i take my hat off to them. Gotta do what you gotta do when in a relegation battle. Just hope we don't choke a top 4 sport now. I think we'll just hang on. All about the FA Cup final now really, just hope we turn up for it or Liverpool will embarrass us.
Pickford is actually pathetic though. I get it i guess, but still, he was made to look like a prick last week with that ball holding and dropping to floor bollocks. He's doing it again now as if it makes him look 'cool'. It's desperately sad.

Scratch that, the way their fans are reacting hiding the ball and laughing, Pickford with his pathetic time wasting, how dirty Everton have been. I hope they go down, **** it!

Felt Chelsea weren’t up for this...
I dunno why people are sympathetic towards Everton tbh, they're spent all that money, been given every chance to do well with so much inconsistency with every team in the PL bar Liverpool and City. They waste time from the about the 20 minute mark. They play dirty. The fans acting appallingly. They whine all the time when things don't go tehir way, more so than any other club in the PL. It's embarrassing. Yet people are willing them on. They're in the relegation zone because they deserve to be. Burnley have spent a tenner, they don't bitch and cry, play dirty. They just get on with it and fight. They're the true underdogs here, not Everton.
Chelsea were utter ****e today don't get me wrong, but Everton are a joke of a club at this point. I love Frank too, but lets not forget they're still in the regulation zone, they still need to win that game in hand, all the pundits, fans, commentary acting and celebrating like they've beat the drop already because they beat a **** Chelsea team today.
Yes they were unlucky with that pen against city. But who's to say one, they would have scored it, and two, with 10 mins left on the clock you don't think City would have gone at them relentlessly non stop?! They act like they were robbed of a win in that game!

Never crossed the line of course, biggest CL robbery for Chelsea since they started competing. Mind you, that was nothing compared to Barca at Stamford Bridge in 2009.

Did you hear what the referee said after the game? He said that if it wasn't given as a goal, he would have given a penalty and had to send the Chelsea player off. Pretty sure you ended up with the best of those two outcomes.
You should have curb-stomped us as we were a terrible team, and you guys were just destroying everyone. That barca game was crazy though.

I honestly can't remember how we played in that game, or Liverpool, obviously the 'goal' will always stand out. We did have this "we will beat everyone and win everything" attitude by that point in 2005. Probably not a wise way of thinking. After all we'd only really been a top 4 team at best before Roman and Jose.
It's strange though, me and an Arsenal fan watched that Final in Istanbul (we wasn't there, in a pub in Kent i mean), and we were both willing Liverpool on in the 2nd half of that game, crazy really. I think that's the only time i've ever wanted Liverpool to win a game :joker:
The 2008 Final was heartbreaking, i hated Man Utd with a passion (ever since a very young me went to Wembely to watch Utd thrash us 4-0 in the FA Cup Final in 1994). I still do hate them more than any other club team tbh. The luck they used to get, the Refs pandering to them throughout the 90's smh. They were a quality team, can't take that away from them, but still. Also on a side note, everybody blames John Terry for that Pen miss, but Anelka's Pen was a joke too, he should get just as much blame.
And then the farcical that was the 2009 Semi against Barca. Poor ol' Chelsea right :joker: It made 2012 that much sweeter though, and ironically we got our revenge on Barca in the Semi's that season. I miss that Chelsea team Spine, Cech, Terry, Lamps, Drogba. So much passion.
I feel like it's going to be a few years before Chelsea will be competing on that level though, all things considered. You have to take the rough with the smooth though, i mean we won the CL last season, im not complaining. But yeah, i think we'll be a top 4 fighting team for a while now, and just have to hope/seen what happens with the Tournaments.

I don't think you're that far away at all. It looks worse than it is as you've dropped off a bit recently, but you tried to buy Haaland last summer, and if you'd got him instead of Lukaku, you'd have been in the mix with city and Liverpool easily, you're just naturally a bit deflated at the mo.
Unfortunately Haaland looks like he's off to city in the summer, so we'll all only be fighting for 2-4 anyway.

Yeah Lukaku has been a flop, i was never confident when we brought him back to club in the summer.
Well we are lacking consistency, on our day we really can beat anyone. Problem is we're going to lose a few important players, especially at the back.
I hope the uncertainty of the new ownership is resolved before the summer really kicks in.

My only faith is City have a much harder run in now then us, they have an inform Newcastle, 2 teams fighting for Europe and a Liverpool legend led Villa
as expectation grows, the pressure grows. Doing that in 1 competition is tough, 4 hasnt been done in the uk, not sure about europe. I think leeds were on for it decades ago under Don but they ended up with nothing at the end of the season. At least liverpool have 1 in the bag
Could go down to goal difference on the final day. Didn't want Spurs to get a point considering Chelsea are doing their best to choke a Champs League spot. The finish to this season is great though, so many things to play for at both ends of the table.

Well with the missing piece of Pep’s jigsaw - Haaland - supposedly a done deal ...
The only way I see Liverpool being able to give them a run for their money is if they sign Harry Kane . The other teams are already fighting for third place whatever happens .
Now if Liverpool lose Salah or Mane then they would actually NEED to sign Kane AND Son to compete against ManC

You don’t think Kane will fit into Liverpool’s team ?
He’s similar to Firmino , maybe slight less mobile but scores far more goals .. and more assists .
Imagine Kane feeding either Salah or Mane or Diaz

I doubt Liverpool would go anywhere near Harry Kane because firstly he will be too expensive and secondly he’s 28 so he’s not going to have much resell value either.
If they want to go and spend silly money on a player I’d take my chances with Bellingham.

Manchester United could do with signing someone like Kane, they desperately need some leadership in the dressing room and leaders don't come much better than the England captain. Can't see a London lad like Kane being too eager to sign for a Northern club though.
kane is another one that is full of his own self importance, thats the last thing man u need now

Everton fighting for their lives, spurs going for top 4, Gerrard desperate to prove a point, and Newcastle who have the 2nd most points in the league in 2022, just behind Liverpool. It's the teams with nothing to play for at this stage, that you can roll over. Midfield is the biggest problem at Liverpool.
Spurs took all 6 points against city this season.
Liverpool lost the league early in the season with bad draws against Brentford and Brighton.
Liverpool are not paying the best part of £70m on a near 30 year old with zero resale value and an up and down injury record.

So? I'm not sure if you're aware that each game played is different. Sheriff Tiraspol beat Madrid 1-0 in Madrid, city lost 3-1.
For Liverpool to be even challenging city with our budget, is ridiculous, and without Liverpool we're in Bayern Munich/PSG territory, and probably still are if Haaland works out. We're on course for over 90 points, and I saw you write something the other day about Liverpool messing up the league.
It's ridiculous, no one before has ever needed to hit these points tallies to be competitive for the title. It's not normal.
If Chelsea can't hold on to this against 10 men, and a poor Leeds side then there's something seriously wrong. Ok performance so far. Was wrong about City, that loss to Real hasn't harmed their League form at all.
