think we could be getting a great series, i really don't know who will be the contenders or the duffers, on paper going by celeb alone



am looking forward to all of the partnerships of course, but also Bill & Oti's winner dance reprise, their street/commercial to rappers delight i think, and guest performance of Anne Marie also looking forward to that, as well as the opening pro routine and the first group dance with celebs/pro's at the end of the show


also hope we will get a strong field overall, and well matched partnerships too i hope for, and no obvious mismatches

hope for fun intro VT's as well


and looking forward to introduction of the 4 newbies (more 3 new for me, as i already know Nikita of german lets dance)

my immediate reaction, they look so good together, i feel like he has got lot of potential for the ballroom dances, and i noticed in group dance he surprisingly is kinda light on his feet


Nadiya is a way better tall female dancer than Luba

Judi has a strong personality which might work in her favor, less annoying for me than a AJ


although i hope AJ does well, since i like Kai and he is a very talented dancer, has quite a few runner up results on DWTS ireland, and a win if i remember correctly

Cha Cha is my favourite dance, seriously Nikita :joker: the dance you got eliminated upon and you screwed a potential ringer over with your lacklustre basic crap

Adam & Katya: nice but competitive pair i think, i personally find him coming across quite nicely either, not too stuck up at all

AJ & Kai: she is annoying ugh, but i want them to do well, for Kai since i like him for being different than other pro's


Dan & Nadiya: great pair, looking forward to their ballrooms especially, and i am gonna let myself be surprised regarding the latins

Greg & Karen: such a nice charming guy, funny either but loosen up a little as for the dance moves

John & Johannes: nice pair, but WHY choosing the gay pro dancer for this seriously BBC :idc: Vadim isn't gay and he loves same-sex dancing for the added challenge, somehow RTLde making better same-sex pairing choices than BBC :rolleyes: with those stereotypes gays have to dance gays bull****

Judi & Graziano: poor Graz, wish he was with John instead, now he is stuck with the blob no offense, but don't see any potential in her

Katie & Gorka: good one for Gorks, more likeable one than last years villain Maisie

Nina & Neil: well matched pair this one, Nina be more confident believe in yourself, and trust in Neil de Jaunsse, the Samba is dreadful for week 1 but hope the music choice is good

Rhys & Nancy: he won't win that is for sure, no one likes a smug too full of himself show off, feel like he could suffer a Danny John Jules fate shock boot

Robert & Dianne: love this pair, Dianne's reaction is great, she is more happy because she is a fan of him, i see so much potential in him either

Rose & Giovanni: aww super cute how Gio genuinely wants to learn sign language, finally bit of the old Gio again, and finally him not with a ringer, not sure if she can win, but don't care, as long as they have a good time on the show

Sara & Aljaz: Aljaz really is not allowed to win again, so they give another posho to him :hehe:

Tilly & Nikita: first exit material, privileged rich kid combined with a hopeless case of a pro, :laugh2: also a slow waltz for first dance LOL, everything feels so scripted with her, wish we gotten her dad instead

Tom & Amy: cute couple, will go far definitely even if he can't dance very greatly, he will do better than a Lee Ryan, Max George for sure

Ugo & Oti: nicely matched pair, Oti won't win for third time, but still hope they go far, always love rugby stars on this show

Rose has done theatre school. So I think she will have good rhytm already.
Not a ringer like Tom and Rhys, but she will do well.
And she has Giovanni, he's amazing.

I think the ratings are lower because most of the Celeb lineup aren't really big names this year.

last year like Alf also said no one was vaccinated of the pro dancers, and the show went on as planned, don't think this is a HUGE problem, just those who refuse the vaccine need to wear face masks when not in the training room or performance in studio with their celeb partner (and maybe this unvaccinated pro is with a vaccinated celeb, and vaccinated people pass the virus on less easier as unvaccinated, due to lesser chance of shedding enough cells, so the only danger here for this pro is outside the training room, so mask up is my advice and NO PANIC like this fearmongering from the sun now)

i don't care about rating numbers either, and yes Jake it is their loss as the launch show quality was again very great

but like Annie also said i think some who have seen the pairing spoilers (as launch was prerecorded) have been those who haven't watched that, and i think week 1 ratings are more important (for those who find stuff like that important, not me anyway)

but yeah Dailyfail likes to be the first to spread this bad news, Dailyfail and Failing Sun are soooo similar tabloids to each other :facepalm: simply embarrassing, i myself am ignoring those tabloids now, and i feel much better

Nina & Neil Tango: it lacked attack in some parts, not to forget how she nearly fell over, not her finest hour 4

Adam & Katya Quickstep: sorry for my inner Len now but too much faffing about, too long sitting down, would've liked to see more content throughout, and indeed i also saw the gapping, maybe just not his dance that's ok 5

Katie & Gorka Jive: i agreed with my dad, how it needed to look more crisp, clean from her side, since Gorka was clearly outdancing her, performance wise the idea was good behind this choreo and setting, but the execution was very poor from her side but that's ok since she is clearly a novice 4

Greg & Karen Couples Choice: ok i am going to be controversial now but i really loved the combination of contemporary and disco here, dance wise i thought he danced most of the disco basics quite well, the armography, and i always respect a celeb male and especially the novices who take on lifts in early weeks proper lifts either, wow 8

John & Johannes Cha Cha Cha: far better CCC than Rhys, more latin hip action throughout, not too forced but very clean movements across most of the floor, very difficult song choice either to stay on point with the music, that is quite amazing he stayed on point every single time 9

AJ & Kai Foxtrot: AJ is a superstar, but i am really liking Kai more and more, you are making me forget of Kevin more and more, lovely simplistic choreo either 9

Robert & Dianne Tango: loads of attack, compared to Nina's tango, traditional music really helps you more than other music in dances like these, they both looked stunning either 8

Judi & Graziano Samba: sorry not sorry but i loved it, even if it wasn't technically perfect, i saw loads of hip action anyway, this was a entertaining samba, so sassy, great chemistry either 8

Rose & Giovanni Salsa: all of the salsa basics danced well, but here's the bad part, every time you enter a lift, it breaks up the performance into 3 pieces, would've liked lesser lifts and more salsa action, more rhythm since what she danced was phenomenal, and on time either with music/beat which is amazing for a girl like her 8

Sara & Aljaz Foxtrot: Aljaz is a miracle worker, from crap to almost perfection in one week, omg wow wow wow, only downpart for me i didn't like Sara's dress 9

Dan & Nadiya Paso Doble: good choice from Nadiya going for Gladiator theme rather than a normal Paso, that saved this performance for me, Dan really played the part very well, and the Paso all in all is a very tricky dance, good job #TeamWalkova 8

Ugo & Oti Quickstep: fast, light (surprisingly light for a former rugby player) full of personality, lovely smile he got too, good chemistry he has with Oti as well 7

Tilly & Nikita Charleston: bit clumsy but in this dance i don't mind that, since this is also bit of slapstick comedy somehow, i liked those swivels they looked good, Tilly's personality is also very lovely, hope she can also take this fun personality into most of the party latins, her chemistry with Nikita is very amazing, and Nikita's choreo has improved big time, far less basic by far than on german lets dance, i loved it, and forgive me but i have to give it 10!

Brilliant Paso doble, it's not a dance I enjoy seeing and is usually one where mistakes occur badly.

Judi & Graziano: not as iconic as that samba of hers last week, still a nice watchable performance, decent effort on charleston technique either 7

Dan & Nadiya: decent performance, but not wow Dan played the part of Prince very well, shame about the mistake but i agree with Shirley, the way he picked up after that was great to see 7

Sara & Aljaz: Controversial but i liked Sara's efforts at the samba technique, very nice bend knee, decent samba rolls despite those costumes they were still able to pull off those technical bits, and of course what a entertaining performance, Go Girl, you rock 8

AJ & Kai: AJ is a good dancer for sure, but what seems to be lacking here for me, is emotions, chemistry since technically this was executed wonderfully but the performing bit was a bit middle of the road for me 7

Robert & Dianne: another Controversial one from me but i loved the complete package here, very entertaining and technically speaking, in the faster movements in hold, i almost saw no gapping which is impressive, Robert played a very cute Kermit and Dianne a very lovely Miss Piggy, this was fab to watch 9

Greg & Karen: i actually liked the music choice combined with this dance, some of bond theme i found very fitting for Paso style, Greg played a convincing part as 007, and i recognized which movie they reenacted thanks to Karen dressed as Halle Berry, Die Another Day which is in my personal top 10 of bond movies, this was enjoyable to watch 7

Tilly & Nikita: i agreed with Craig but even harsher, indeed very heavy footed, it needed more energy throughout, this sadly just wasn't her dance, but i had no expectations whatsoever for this week, glad she has Jive behind her now, and good to have it on a theme week, good side Tilly played the part of Tracy very well for a non-actress 5

Rose & Giovanni: left me speechless, i think my score will say enough 10 simply stunning and one of my fave movie week and one of my fave foxtrot routines ever

Ugo & Oti: quite enjoyed this, and i strongly disagreed with Craig, i felt like he had good musicality since Moana isn't a ''musical'' compared to a Grease, Dirty Dancing, Dreamgirls, The Bodyguard, and also this is a great effort at some hawaiian dancing too, and hawaiian dance isn't the most neat either, and those lifts are wow, Oti must trust him too a lot if she allows him to throw her around like that 8

Tom & Amy: i don't know if he was flatfooted, but his Jive was better than Tilly's, much cleaner, more crisp, much much faster, great performance too 8

Adam & Katya: didn't find this bad at all, for me the rumba is a dance of emotion and he delivered loads of emotion here, and played the part of his character well too, i agreed with my dad, they were so unrecognizable, i personally like rumba's fused with contemporary elements and it was also very intimate and i loved the augmented reality effects too here as well as in Ugo's performance 9

Katie & Gorka: mediocre performance, and dance wise bit wooden as well, not that good 4

Rhys & Nancy: it suited him to perfection all the hip hop pop and lock stuff, but now he has got all of that hyperactive side out of him hopefully now calm down and try improving in the ballrooms and latins, am curious if Nancy can do where Janette had failed with Aston, for this performance, hmm 9

John & Johannes: i had my doubts because of his ballet past, but thankfully no ballet move in sight, good work Johannes this week, this was some fab dancing and performing from them, yes yes yes my only bit of criticism though, no more swapping leading roles since Nicolas & Vadim also didn't do that, and with that you can only go into same path as Nicola & Katya last year, but otherwise A-MA-ZING 9

also couples choice is a ''showdance'' more or less yes, but each of these dance styles also bring with them their own respective techniques you still got to learn and perfect so it is not like you have a week off or anything from rehearsing




Robert & Dianne i quite like as a pair, i love their muppets quickstep, little or no gapping at the quickstep part which is impressive, compared to Adam last year where there was much gapping

i love how brave Dianne is and i respect her how she wants to be dressed up as these iconic characters 3 years in a row now, as Abu (with Dev's aladdin) Marge Simpson (Max's couples choice) and now Miss Piggy

tbh Rhys didn't quite deserve a 10, more because Hip Hop needs much tighter, staccato popping and locking, and i found him too energetic almost turning it into a Hip Hop Jive



Ugo's didn't look as neat, or didn't have musicality for some (i thought that routine of his and Oti truly embraced the hawaiian culture so well, since Moana is a hawaiian animation movie, and hawaiian dance isn't really known for the best looking piece of dance, but that dance style they have is a very fun one, maybe also my bias that i'm a fan of hawaii's culture)




Greg last week with his Disco/Contemporary fusion CC, i thought his disco moves were very on point, in sync with Karen, and i found that particular fusion of those two styles very interesting either
