Anime just in general.

I know that some of you are probably thinking that I'm being harsh when I state my reasons, but I really feel like neither the Anime scene or the Western TV or Video Game scenes are really catering to my personal taste much at all, although the quality of Western TV and Video Games is less offensive to me at the moment compared to the current Japanese Anime scene.

My current issues with the modern Anime scene:

1. And the most important issue for me, is the borderline Paedophilia that gets represented in a large bulk of Anime, and the fact that a large bulk of the Anime community are onboard with this type of content.:umm2:

And if it's not Paedophilia being pushed, then it's other weird sexual fetishes like bestiality/furry content, Bunnygirls (they are different to Furries) ugly chicks like the ones in Chainsaw Man, or a new Anime series called Dandadan having a weird Grandma sexual fetish that's being discussed all over Anime Twitter.:yuk:

I already had reservations about Dandadan anyway, but that just confirms to me that yet again that there's another series in the Anime scene creating a bizarre sexual fetish that a bunch of weirdos lap up and encourage the industry to keep getting stranger and stranger with their fetishes.

We can't get a AAA Anime production where they're aiming for a male demographic that is either not sexualized at all, or doing conventional beauty standards (i.e someone in their bloody twenties, thirties, even forties ffs) and teen characters intended for the teen market tbf.

Instead we get children, a Grandma, and god knows what other freaky thing being sexualized in that industry, it's even more sick than the west's recent attempts at deliberately creating ugly mother ****ers in Video Games, because I can still possibly enjoy the gameplay and story without thinking that a total degenerate freakazoid made the damn thing.

2. The plots in a lot of the modern long running Animes that have come out over the last four or five years have been poor, some of them are so poor that I struggle to remember much of a plot at all in some of them.

Some of them can get carried with a likable cast to see the Season out, but even then they get impacted a little bit because the plot has as much depth as Lily off Big Brother.

3. This one's going to be personal to some extent, so I do apologize to anyone on here that's apart of any of the things that I'm about to say, and that's the Anime community in general.

- A lot of them do support weird sexual content, like I've mentioned earlier.

- A lot of them say "Peak" "Mid" or "Absolute Cinema" in place of forming a proper sentence structure during discussions.

- Animation being seen as a bigger deal than the actual writing.

- Going back to point 1, a lot of the community wanting sexual content over good storytelling.:umm2:

- Any time a Shoujo or Josei Anime gets made (both are genres aiming primarily towards the female demographic) there's a large bulk of the Anime community ready to slam them because those Animes are "for girls."

That's my rant over.

I have got a few more rants to do, but I'll spread them out throughout the week.

I was going to do a different rant tonight, but some of the members on DS had to go and **** me off.

Basically I caught an old thread on DS for this series of Strictly Come Dancing that was asking who's the best looking woman in this series (I'm phrasing it how the OP phrased it) and there was meant to be a best looking man one as well, but I doubt that there was much activity on there after what happened.

Basically two to three members came on the thread having a moan and being spoilt sports about the attraction threads existing on the Strictly section (which those threads have been on there every single year btw) the OP rightly said that these people had no issues with the most fanciable pros thread.

Which then saw some of the members not liking the threads trying to justify it by saying "but the pros aren't taking part in the contest" which factually isn't true but whatever, they went on to say that it's okay basically to pick who you find attractive out of the pros but not the Celebs that are participating on the Show was one of their arguments.

One of them even started talking about how the OP presented the thread in a more "objective" way instead of a "subjective" way, even though there was a bloody poll open on that very thread, so the OP was clearly asking it in a subjective way.

Nobody on the thread was being nasty about any of the contestants looks or anything like that.

I swear to god that some people really just don't know how to let loose and have fun, they got a harmless thread shut down for no reason other than their own insecurities, that then got disguised as morality.

I mean the OP even knows that Sam is the most attractive woman this year, so they were even based on that imo.:laugh:

But honestly how a thread like that caused arguing is baffling to me.

I honestly don't care if there's an attractive woman or man poll on any industry, it really shouldn't be that deep like the few complainers on DS were making it seem.

Alright, I'm just going to say it, and it's going to be controversial but **** it.

F1 misses having Lewis Hamilton as the one to beat as he actually has charisma and an actual personality (love him or hate him) plus his era in general did just have more exciting races when he was in his prime, and more exciting drivers challenging him that I also liked to watch race.

We've now gone from that era to psychopath Verstappen who can just get away with bending rules for fun, and Norris who is about as interesting as Thomas off of this year's BB.

And there's nobody really coming through that seems to hold my interest in F1.

Where is the next Lewis Hamilton or Fernando Alonso, or Sebastian Vettel coming from? Amongst many other great drivers that I grew up enjoying race.

Another minor thing that irritates me is how most people in Football these days have zero personality between them.

Has anyone seen the clip of Dragon Age IV on Twitter of the characters discussing Gender Non-Binary?

I personally don't understand why anyone would want to identify as Non-Binary if I'm to be completely honest about it.

But I certainly don't want a Dragon Age Game having extensive chats about it, because to me the ideology is just a bit weird for me (with all due respect to any Non-Binary member on here) and Dragon Age as a franchise is just meant to have more going on than identity Politics.

Hopefully it's better in execution, as I really don't want the Incel crowd to have yet another victory in the Video Game space, as they'll turn it into the current Japanese Anime industry if their views end up becoming the majority.

I don't know, I think that Ali displayed her own toxic behaviour throughout the series imo, especially towards Khaled and Marcello.

But I personally don't believe that having character flaws should stop anyone from winning BB, if anything it's the ones like Izaaz and Segun who are trying to hide their flaws that shouldn't win imo.

And going back to Marcello there were three moments in the series where I personally did object to his behaviour, just to be balanced about him.

1. His argument with Sarah over the chicken with the "it was just banter" douchebagery that you would expect to hear from Kris from BB10.

2. Him getting up in Sarah's face over the Influencer debate. It's honestly not that deep to react the way that Marcello did imo.:laugh:

Ryan liked Marcello, admittedly you are right that Daze had issues with Marcello's behaviour, and Izaaz mainly had issues with Nathan openly from what I remember.

And in those early episodes I also hated Marcello for the very reason that you didn't like him, but if we're being fair the production were making Marcello into a caricature in those early episodes, because to me he felt three dimensional by the time we're in the third week, which is how it should've been for Marcello from week 1.

…I know that it sounds obvious but not easy to do but try to relax your body but by bit from the toes up to your head/thoughts …you may not sleep but it’ll still help you to relax and calm and feel more rested…it’s really difficult to calm your thoughts until your body leads that way first to calm and peaceful, you know…:hug:…

…try to shoo those problems away and clear your head …focus in each part of your body in relaxing it…it’s sounding like a circle of not being able to sleep because your thoughts are so active and having those active thoughts because you’re tired and need sleep…if you can, try to shift that concentration focus into imagining each part of your body relaxing…

…yeah, sleeping patterns and tendencies etc are so difficult to break or change, aren’t they…because they really do become a circle of tangling up and going around…when it’s a sleep time but you’re awake because that’s your pattern etc…?…I guess it’s to try not to link and attach other patterns, that keep you brain active and thought active as well as body active, you know…?…so if you would watch TV or have internet time or catch up on emails or whatever…?…try to break that cycle and be awake but be chilled and relaxed…and listen to soothing music/practice relaxation techniques etc…it is very difficult, I know …and not always possible to break a pattern completely…but you may be able to relax through that awake time more…and that will make you feel a bit more rested…baby steps, you know….

When you order Nong Shim Spicy Pot Noodles from shopping (Korean brand) and instead you get a substitution called Mama's Hot & Spicy packed Noodles.

So here's the pro & con's to this substitution.

Pro's:
- It is an actual Noodle (because sometimes totally different food items have come in the past when I've had food be substituted.)

- It did taste nice.

Con's:
- It's not a Pot Noodle.

- It's not Korean, like I ordered.

- It didn't taste spicy, again like I ordered.

- It weren't from the brand that I ordered.

So that's some pretty big things for Morrison's to get wrong imo.

My ship with egg is like Russian roulette. When I crack the egg I have to spend time turning the yoke to see if there's red bit or that white cloudy thing. If there is I take it out if there isn't I then worry that the egg will taste too eggy or barn-y. I cannot do boiled eggs anymore. I just do not know if I am boiling an egg with the red bits inside!!!


As I type, I made lovely ramen with lots of veggies and sunny side up omelette. I spent some time taking out the red bit!!! I taste the egg...and it tastes barn-y!!!

Anyone can recommend a good egg brand that never has the red bits, cloudy bits or barn-y taste? :joker:

Morrisons have struck two more times since (to the point now where I'm going to open up a Food League thread in the future,) just to ridicule the one absolutely disgusting food item that they sent my way (which I will save what that exactly was, for my thread.)

Some people will probably disagree with me, but I am absolutely livid for two different reasons about that disgusting food item, that's all I'll say for now about that product.

Now going to my other issue.

I had ordered Tuna Pasta Bake from Morrisons, the food came (which was a good thing) but because we are ordering for three people plus a Cat, we didn't notice that there was a hole around the packaging of my Tuna Pasta Bake.

Meaning basically that one of two things happened:

1. The workers were just throwing things in the bags carelessly, and didn't make sure not to break the seals container.

2. One of the workers deliberately went out of their way to insert a hole into the Pasta Bake's packaging. Which looked the more likely option when my Brother showed me the hole.

Either way, it's disgusting conduct from a Supermarket.

It’s apparently taken years and multi millions to get it off the ground

The best players in the world are IN the stadium on the pitch and drive off like they do at a driving range THEN it turns into that PGA game graphics BUT the ball doesn’t bounce or run truly - looks like a shoddy computer game … then they finish the hole on a green in the stadium !

People coming back from detty December saying they want to relocate to Nigeria. One month on vacation with abundant resources is different from actually living there, whether you’re in Lagos/Abuja/Calabar (comparatively safer places in Naij.) or not. It’s all well-and-good saying that until you run out of money or have to stay under house-arrest on Mondays or get kidnapped and taken to Kano. So much potential in the country but that doesn’t make it safe or easy to live in right-now, especially if you’re not loaded. Chilling on Lasgidi beach with cocktails and ram suya, as cool as that is, isn’t a lived reality for the vast majority and it’s unsustainable to keep up indefinitely unless you really do have that kind of money. Nigeria will test the patience of a saint.

The way Disney shows are devoid of meaning nowadays is … really irritating. I always hated how unnecessarily dumb Chelsea (That’s So Raven) got in seasons 3 and 4 (compared to the rightly-proportioned mix of ditzy-but-not-outright-idiotic and smart she was in seasons 1 and 2) but coincidentally her incompetence in season 3 measured up perfectly with the theme of the episode where Raven doesn’t get the job they both apply for. That’s So Raven was actually that show that was bold enough to tackle racism and … ya. They just don’t make Disney shows like that anymore and haven’t in the last 15 years, not as far as I can tell. This current generation of kids and pre-teens just haven’t got the goods streaming in live time anymore.

The idea that having regular successive showers helps you freshen up if you’re someone who sweats a lot. If your hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) is that bad and the water’s not impregnated with sodium bicarbonate and geranium essential oil, you’s gonna sweat again while you’re showering so what are you washing away, exactly, if it’s just sweat and not general personal B.O.? Two things that I can't stand with the topic of Mental Health these days.

1. If you have a bad day or just a bad spell, then immediately society starts believing that the person in question must have "poor Mental Health" instead of just simply going through a rough time, like everybody else has at some point in their lives.

2. Celebrities using Mental Health as a way to either get their name back out there, or when they use "poor Mental Health" as a way to get themselves out of a controversy.
