Gutless, whiny covers of classic songs used on adverts. They make me shudder.
Mmm
Some of them are really quite good though ?
Fiona Apple - Across the Universe ?
Lily Allen - Mr Blue Sky ?

Over the last few months I've bumped into some terrible scenes in TV, Anime, and Film that share a commonality.:bawling:
- Three vile sex scenes in Sinners, and one of the women is goodlooking in this Film imo, but I actually think that her sex scene might possibly be the most gross in the Film, with the drool element being thrown in there.:yuk:
- Episode 9 and Episode 25 of Noir - Tbf to Noir it is a decent Anime imo and it's kissing scenes were far less gross and more brief than any of Sinners sex scenes, but to be really immature and shallow about it for a minute, I just really really didn't want to see any of the Noir characters acting remotely sexual.:yuk:
- Bizarre sexual gunplay on Twin Peaks between Bobby (I think that's his name) and the woman that's being domestically abused by a different guy (but thankfully not in this scene) I really don't understand why anyone would get a kick out of seeing that?:laugh:
- The Godfather 3 incestuous relationship, I love the Film despite that element in the Film.:joker: It will forever haunt my dreams.:worry:
- I saw a WatchMojo list on YouTube talking about "the best Movies of 2025” and they showed clips of a Film called Black Bag (what a horrible name for a Film btw) and it looked like there was going to be some sex scenes around the main couple, which again I did not really have that on my wishlist to go into 2026 with.:joker:
Basically I keep bumping into horrible Romance/sexual/kissing stuff in Entertainment recently and it's starting to annoy me a little bit.
Thank God for the new Shinobi Video Game, not a sex scene in sight to potentially gross me out with.:dance::laugh:
I keep bumping into this kind of content.:bawling:

How modern Britain uses the word 'literally' as a placeholder word to the point where it's basically now a verbal crutch.
So many Brits don’t pronounce the ‘t’ properly in words ..
/////
Not pronouncing the "t" in words, known as T-glottalization, is a common feature in many English accents, especially in casual speech, where the 't' is replaced by a glottal stop (a catch in the throat like in "uh-oh") or simply omitted, particularly after 'n' (e.g., "internet" becomes "innernet") or at the end of words, creating smoother, faster speech, though fully pronouncing it often signals a more formal or "posh" accent.
Common Scenarios & Examples
After 'n' (T-glottalization): The 't' is often dropped, especially in American English.
"Internet" -> "Innernet"
"Mountain" -> "Moun'n"
"Twenty" -> "Twenny"
In Consonant Clusters: Dropped in words like "Christmas" or "Westminster" (sometimes).
At the End of Words: Often replaced by a glottal stop.
"Don't" -> "Don'"
"Water" -> "Wa'er" (or "wader" in some dialects)
Silent 't' Rules: Some 't's are always silent, such as in "fasten," "castle," "soften," and "ballet".

…and also when 100% is added to literally as well…it’s just an unnecessary addition that isn’t added to any other percentage …

The brattiness of Lisa in the Tracey-Ullman shorts, where she’s written like a typical kid. She’s like a great-great-great-great-great aunt twice-removed and from an alien dimension compared to the real Lisa. I don’t find the slight eeriness of season 1 too jarring but the shorts are very-much pre.-personality for Marge and Lisa. Embryonic silhouettes and nothing more. No-one expected any more from them in 1987. And in retrospect it’s creepy and unfulfilling, knowing what’s to come with the real Simpsons.
…I think that they’ve probably expended that extra 10% that is never going to be fully appreciated tbh…
Ahh
I was saying that it irks me beyond belief when someone says they gave 110% effort..

Really? A Euro is only worth about 88p, that's outrageous. And on that note, why do Tesco price tags say, for instance £5/5 Euros? £5 is worth about 5.75 Euros. We are bein ripped off even more than we thought.

The stigma associated with being a pregnant women across certain cultures (if you know, you know). Even when the woman’s married and expected to have kids at some point, it can be seen as a moral stain that lowers status.

Pretty-much. We live in a world that judges women for all sorts of unfair reasons, their looks, their aspirations, the state of their children, their right to inherit property and much more. So yes. Pregnancy does have a conditional stigma to it across the world.

That's crazy that people would judge a woman for being a Mother.
