Afternoon, customers! :wavey:
What's this? BusyBee moonlighting as Cocktail Waiter? Been watching that Tom Cruise film for tips, BB?
Mind you, I could do with some assistance behind the bar - it gets quite hectic sometimes, especially when Amy's thirsty! :spin2:
Make mind a Tequila Sunrise please, BusyBee . . . . . . that's the only politely named cocktail I know!!!

I do try
but there is only so much I can do flitting between the coffee bar and the main bar :bawling:
Where is Borris ? :conf:
There is a rumour going around the coffee bar clientel that that there will be a Compulsory Purchase Order placed on the bar for some new development in the cyber village.
Some were quite upset by it, as they do not want to loose the bar.
As she is the named owner, she will be able to verify this.

Where is Boris ?:conf:
She was last active on 22nd February
The rumor mill at the coffee shop is on overdrive, especially about the bar being sold on a compulsory purchase to make way for a new development along the information super highway
One of our suppliers was getting a bit annoyed as we had not paid them, but only Borris seems authorised to write the cheques on the bar business account. The coffee shop has covered it for the moment, which means I have had to cut back on the food I can sell.
I have had to cancel the next shipment of Champaign and get an order of light sparkling wine from Aldi's
If Boris does not show, the bar could be forced to close.
Have our competition kidnapped her ?
Where is Boris ?:conf:
I'm not allowed to say, Sticks - if I told you I'd have to kill you!
Safe to say that, in her absence, I have full authority as Bar Manager to sign cheques . . . . . so rest assured that payment to all our suppliers is in the post as I speak.
In the meantime, you'd better return all that cheap plonk to Aldi's . . . . . . there's nothing like the real thing!

To the patrons of Boris Bar
Here at Harvester we are excited at the prospect of taking over Boris Bar. When we take ownership, after final contractual negotiations, the bar will be closed for about 2 months to enable major refurbishment, after which we will open up as part of our "Nettle and Doc-Leaf" chain. This is one of our up and coming theme bars geared at the young professional market.
We look forward to your continued patronage after the refurbishment and re-launch in due course

Don't count on it
Up here in Newcastle upon Tyne, one couple were refused entry by the bouncers because they were too old and would not fit in with the youth image they wanted for their venue.
It is near where I work, but I have never stepped foot in there because I am too old and therefore I am banned.

Does this mean that the sale is off, and this won't become another "Cockroach and Celary Stick", a trendy them bar ?
When we heard the rumours the locals disappeared because we were too old for the image the new owners wanted to project, a bit like a certain bar / night club here in Newcastle upon Tyne
I am available for work! I'd be very happy to help you run your bar Boris

Am quite happy to act as a kitchen helper as before, especially if you keep employing that wonderful chef.!!!!!!
Also quite happy to act as seat warmer for anyone who reserves a special place at the bar for anyone, those bar stools are really very comfortable especially with a large glass of something in one's hand:hugesmile::blush:

Just thought I would pop in to see how you are all getting on.
Now then Sticks.....'the celery and Cochroach' are NOT getting their hands on us...whoever they are. We stay as
Boris's Bar
And NO other. ( I will look into the matter of superior Guinness from Dublin's fair city.)
Bar staff all seem to be in order. Thank you all for appling for your jobs and taking over so promptly. It has been a great relief on my hour of need.
AND KAZ...my trusty bar manager. I know we are in safe hands when you are around. Glad to have you back behind the bar...in front of it......on top of it....and even on Saturday nights, under it !!!!:bored:That is how you look on Sundays....
We will go from strenth to strength now that the 'team' is reunited'.
Rob...don't take the abstinance too far. A drop of the amber liquid can liven many a dull hour. And in answer to your question... the turn tonight is me....better bag your bar stools quickly for a good view.
The team is reunited,
The bar will not be blighted,
Not a cellery stick,
For you to pick,
I hope you are delighted.
We will go on
To have some fun,
We will not stop,
Untill we drop,
So come her for a drink and chat, a bit of entertainment...anything that you fancy infact.
See you soon and remember, when all else fails , form an orderly que behind me and we will all soon be very merry....

If ROB is Teetotal, like I am, you need not worry.
First there is the re-opened coffee bar, now other parties seem to have dropped the take over bid, for the moment :colour:
Plus, you can always do what the other establisments do and make an absolute mint on the soft drinks, upon which there usually is a greater mark-up than the alcoholic drinks.

Now look Sticks - no cyber warriors, prophets of doom or anyone passing round bad vibes or pessimism are allowed to this higly important conference/planning meeting. We cannot allow any hexes to be put on the rumours that have lit up our sad little lives.
However those of an optimistic nature with a romantic rose coloured view on life are more than welcome to join us.
There is very important work to be done. Rachb and I have already started on our roles as wedding planners. We of course have to confirm the details with the principals but I can assure you Boris's bar conference suite will be a hive of activity that night. The new chef and bar staff will be kept busy - talking and planning always require plenty of refreshments so make sure Boris's is fully stocked.

If you are going to join us Julia (and you are more than welcome) just to let you know any excuse for a party in Boris's and we are there. Well actually we dont really need an excuse at all. We provide a very good selection of drinks both alcoholic and soft plus a good selection of snacks and more filling food if you are feeling a little more peckish.

Thanks  I'm feeling a little peckish at the mo, dinner's not ready yet *picks a selection of snacks and puts them on paper plate* I've brought my best male "friend" with me too, he's just over there...he'll pick something in a minute *goes over and sits on Dan's knee*

You do realise it is only Tuesday and a working day tomorrow - so I hope there arent too many sore heads in the morning. Boris's has a lot to answer for sometimes - especially when Kaz starts passing that champagne around.

I've just produced a very nice selection of tasty muffins to go with the coffee if there are any takers - blueberry, cherry, chocolate chip and banana. All very reasonably priced.
