I think the whole concept just seems odd to me, ik she wants to evolve and grow as an artist but I don't see why it needs to involve the whole dressing as a guy thing, she's an artist first and foremost so I don't really get why she has to do this, Im sure she'll do it brilliantly and Ill love her when it's sort of out there, but atm im kinda wary of the idea

Lady GaGa has reportedly agreed to collaborate with the Scissor Sisters on an upcoming song.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears met the 'Alejandro' singer at Sir Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball in June. The stars have been negotiating the details of the project since the meeting, and are in the final stages of reaching an agreement.

A source told the newspaper: "Jake has performed with huge stars like Kylie (Minogue). He is desperate for the union with Lady GaGa to go ahead.

"He was concerned Lady GaGa might decide against it but he has been reassured that the collaboration will happen in some way, shape or form."

Shears has previously said he is "proud" that the 24-year-old considers the Scissor Sisters to be a musical influence.

Last week there was an exchange of Tweets between pop star Lady Gaga and Nevada Senator Harry Reid on the upcoming Senate vote to repeal the US military's 'Don't ask, don't tell' (DADT) policy.

“Gay Veterans were my VMA dates. Repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell. CALL HARRY REID to Schedule Senate Vote,” Lady Gaga tweeted along with a photo soldiers with her at Sunday’s MTV awards.

Suprisingly, Reid replied, and agreed, “There is a vote on #DADT next week. Anyone qualified to serve this country should be allowed to do so.”

Lady Gaga responded via Twitter: “God Bless and Thank you @HarryReid, from all of us, like u, who believe in equality and the dream of this country. We were #BORNTHISWAY.”

Now Gaga has posted on Youtube.com (click left) a seven and a half minute black and white video speech outlining her beliefs on the issue. She also calls her own senator in the video, New York's Chuck Schumer and tries to leave a message for him.

When she exchanged tweets with Reid, one could think she was just another celebrity briefly chiming in on an issue, but Lady Gaga is dedicated to the cause and very serious about getting her message heard. There aren't many pop stars that would take the time to prepare, let alone record what amounts to a position paper for the US Senate to hear.

Maybe she will be heard.

Why will Lady Gaga’s forthcoming Born This Way album “piss people off”?

Gaga’s main man, producer and songwriter RedOne, thinks it might be because the album is all about the artist’s liberation. “I think it’s more of her freedom album. It’s like freedom this album … it’s her album!” he told MTV News.

But trying to squeeze any more details out of the “Bad Romance” producer proved difficult. He remained tight-lipped about details, mostly because he feels the album, which Gaga has noted will veer toward bitter and political, isn’t ready for everyday talk just yet.

“To be honest with you, I think that this album that she’s making is too precious to talk about. When it comes out you’ll hear and you’ll make your choice,” he said. “I think you’re gonna love it. But I think it’s too precious for me to talk about it. It’s crazy.”

RedOne said that as far as he knows there will be no Beyoncé-type collaborations on Born This Way. But he reiterated that he’s always stepping up his game with each album.

“I said with everything I do I want to shock people. Honestly, it’s like whatever I do, I always want to shock people sonically, lyrically with the writer, anything that’s gonna get the reaction,” he said. “And so when it comes to her album, I mean honestly, I really think it’s too precious, it’s too good to talk about. I don’t want to talk about it at all. I just want to save it. I’ll let her talk about it. It’s her. It’s her presenting Gaga. I’m the producer, but she’s the artist.

“Whatever happens later is going to happen,” he said about which of his tracks might make the final cut. “I can’t say I’m doing this or I’m doing that. It’s a surprise. I want to leave it like that.”

Klaxons have recorded a cover of Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance'.

The trio's acoustic rendition of the track was recorded during an appearance on Australian radio station Triple J.

Before performing the song on the station's Like A Version segement, Klaxons member Jamie Reynolds praised the singer.

“I think she's the ultimate pop star,” he said.

“I think she's really just raised the bar and made it difficult for everybody else to come along and be a pop star in this day and age.”

Klaxons are currently promoting their second album 'Surfing The Void', which was released in the summer. They are set to play a UK tour in November
