I love "The Edge of Glory" so much, it's probably my second favorite song she's ever released, pure perfection. :lovedup: At first, I was a bit unsure of it becoming the 3rd single but I'm so happy it is now. Looking forward to seeing the video for it too and I hope it can get to #1 in America and over here.

Oh and I watched the Monster Ball finally yesterday on Sky and I was really impressed by the whole show. Loved her frequent audience interaction and that Monster Fish in Paparazzi was so cool!

Thinking back Born This Way was didn't have a video that was released at the time of the single and that song release was definitely planned months before.

I remember BTW not making number 1 and as it started to fall out of the top ten the video was released and the song jumped back up into the top 5. I remember thinking had the video been released at the same time it may have made number 1.

Telephone was released after the album, so it didn't really make much difference as that was the only thing that'd have helped it chart anyway. Bad Romance, video was pushed back quite a few times, I don't think it was released anywhere near when it was supposed to be.

She did quite a bit of promo for those too, XF and Jonathon Ross, which'll have helped, hopefully Paul O Grady will do the same thing.

Oh absolutely. I was wondering earlier, had this been her first video how different a lot of views may have been.

The original concept of the video was to have her fall in love with doctor, but she was a mermaid, he removes her tail but the government find out, they disproved of the relationship and she was thrown back into the water off of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Some of that was filmed but the director and her Creative Director had a big falling out, as such they had had to redo the whole video

Devastating!!! He was a legend!! I had to suffer through watching the edge of glory video just now, just to see his cameo in there. I hope nobody remembers for just his cameo in this video but for all his work over 20 years.
