I saw my dad last night and he told me that when he saw her on the tour, Britney didn't perform Freakshow, but did perform Gimme More, because he was really happy afterwards that she performed GM.

I was listening to Blackout demos on youtube, and realized how much I used to be obsessed with Gimme More.

A Grammy year for Britney Spears?

Submissions for the 2010 Grammy Awards won’t take place until September of 2009, but we are told that Jive Records will push for the final nail in Britney’s comeback: several Grammy nominations. Her album, Circus, was released in November of 2008 and has been one of the biggest selling albums of the past year. All her singles, “Womanizer,” “Circus,” and “If U Seek Amy,” have been major hits as well.

Some may laugh at the prospect of Britney Spears winning several Grammies. However, Grammy voters not only love comebacks, but have also been more keen to dance music lately. The only categories that Britney doesn’t have a chance in are Best Female Pop Vocal Performance (for obvious reasons) and Song of the Year. She is definitely ripe for an Album of the Year nomination as well as one for Record of the Year. She’s also ripe for Best Pop Album.

One year ago, everybody was saying that Britney Spears was over with. Now, Britney is filling up arenas at top ticket prices during one of the worst recessions ever. One has to not only credit Ms. Spears for curbing her destructive behavior, but her management, father, and Jive Records deserve thumbs up as well.

Well, it all depends on what's released over the next month or so, but as of now, I don;t think she deserves a Grammy. The Circus era was poor, in terms of music. I'd rather her comeback next era fierce again and then get the critical acclaim.

creative control refers to a lot more than writing. Britney had a lot of control over the general look of the album, aswell as song choices and the videos for Gimme More and POM. As far as I know she also played a decent part in the production of the album, therefore she had a say in how she actually sounded and how the tracks were mixed and what not.

Blackout was Britneys Best album since Oops! In terms of diferent sounds although IN the zine was great and had a great sound, But blackout just secured Britney as a major artist the success of blackout brought britney time to recover and still be considered princess of pop, if Blackout had flopped britney would of been written of imo, Circus is a great album but lacks the credibilty Blackout had.
