CURSED Corrie widow Gail Platt is about to lose ANOTHER lover to a violent death.
Live-in boyfriend Joe McIntyre will perish in a horrific sailing accident later this year.
Serial killer ... Richard
Serial killer ... Richard
ITV
The tragic mum of three's bad luck started 20 years ago when hubby number one Brian Tilsley (Christopher Quinten) was stabbed to death in a nightclub brawl.
Second spouse Martin Platt (Sean Wilson) managed to escape alive when Gail divorced him in 1999 after discovering he'd had an affair.
But four years later serial killer third hubby Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) drowned trying to murder the whole family by driving them into a canal.

Now Joe (Reece Dinsdale) is also set for a watery grave after Gail's dad Ted (Michael Byrne) buys the family a boat and names it GAILFORCE.
The vessel ends up bringing nothing but misery when Joe gets into difficulties and goes down with the ship.
Gail, played by Corrie veteran Helen Worth, 58, is currently helping Joe beat his addiction to prescription painkillers.
Knifed ... Brian was first
Knifed ... Brian was first
But ITV bosses decided to kill him off after actor Reece, 50, spurned a big pay rise because he didn't want to become typecast.
A source told TV Biz: "There were lots of plans for Joe's character so it was a shame he wanted to leave.
"Now they're going to bump him off dramatically. After he snubbed their offer the last thing the bosses were going to do was leave the door open."
Reece is in talks to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.

It’s the morning of Claire’s (Julia Haworth) charity fete but what starts out as a fun filled family day turns out to be more dramatic than any of the residents could ever have imagined.
Claire’s in her element as she rushes round organising all the stalls. But as she gets caught up in the excitement of her fundraising she hasn’t got time to listen to Joshua (Benjamin Beresford) when he complains his mouth hurts. Little does she know that Joshua has swallowed a bee. As he suffers a severe case of anaphylactic shock he collapses in front of Janice (Vicky Entwistle).
Meanwhile Norris (Malcolm Hebden) refuses to join Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) and Rita (Barbara Knox) as they run the cakes stall and sits alone at home. However he’s disturbed by a knock on the door from the police. They reveal that Ramsay died on the flight to Australia. As Norris sits alone in shock Emily admits to Rita how much Ramsay meant to her. It’s clear the news is going to have a big impact on them both.
Elsewhere Kevin (Michael LeVell) and Molly (Vicky Binns) take part in the charity race. Sophie’s (Brooke Vincent) there to cheer Kevin on but Molly’s left without a supporter when Tyrone (Alan Halsall) gets called out on a break-down. Will he get back in time to see her cross the finish line or will she end up in Kevin‘s arms?
This episode is written by Damon Rochefort and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

Monday 31 August [2]
Janice (Vicky Entwistle) can see Joshua’s (Benjamin Beresford) life is in danger and acting quickly she puts her first aid skills into practice placing him in the recovery position and telling Ashley (Steven Arnold) to phone for an ambulance. As he’s rushed to hospital, Ashley and Claire (Julia Haworth) pray that Janice has done enough to save Josh’s life.
Elsewhere Rita (Barbara Knox) breaks the terrible news to Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) that Ramsay is dead. Emily’s visibly shaken, especially when she discovers he had a brain tumour and knew he was dying. As it becomes clear Ramsay wanted to make up with Norris before his death Norris (Malcolm Hebden) pretends he doesn’t care but Emily loses her temper and lets rip at Norris, telling exactly what she thinks of both him and Ramsay. Battling his emotions Norris heads to his mother’s grave where he finds flowers laid by his dead brother.
Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Molly (Vicky Binns) finish their race. Sophie (Brooke Vincent) congratulates her dad before heading off to the fete. Tyrone hasn’t made it and left alone Kevin and Molly can’t resist each other. Unable to suppress their passion they head to a hotel room where they admit this is what they both want.
Back at the fete Teresa (Karen Henthorn) and Umed (Harish Patel) embark upon a ‘curry challenge’. Graeme (Craig Gazey) wins the raffle and returns the Ricky Hatton signed boxing gloves to Ashley.
This episode is written by Damon Rochefort and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

Thursday 3 September
Molly’s (Vicky Binns) in a foul mood and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) worries that she’s angry with him for missing her race. Confiding in Kevin (Michael Le Vell) he asks if she complained to him but Kevin guiltily reassures him. Despite his guilt Kevin can’t resist Molly and they decide to enter another run as a cover. Jack (William Tarmey) meanwhile is feeling more and more in the way at number 9 as Molly and Tyrone bicker and tells the couple he intends to move out. Tyrone’s upset but Molly ruefully states that you can’t prevent someone from doing what they want.
After thanking Janice (Vicky Entwistle) for helping save Joshua’s life Ashley (Steven Arnold) decides it’s time he came clean to Claire (Julia Haworth) about the vasectomy. Plucking up the courage he tells Claire he didn’t go through with the operation. How will she react?
Norris (Malcolm Hebden) storms out of the Kabin when he and Rita (Barbara Knox) row over his treatment of Ramsay. Visiting his mother’s grave again Norris is in a contemplative mood but will he admit his regret at the way he and Ramsay parted?
Steve (Simon Gregson) reminds the cab drivers to keep looking out for Slug. But Becky’s (Katherine Kelly) losing hope, reckoning he’ll be long go by now and even if they did find him he wouldn’t get her off the hook.
This episode is written by Peter Whalley and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

Friday 4 September [1]
Steve (Simon Gregson) goes chasing a drug-dealer whom Becky (Katherine Kelly) thinks may lead him to Slug. Liz (Beverley Callard) disapproves, and while Becky resolves to enjoy what freedom she has left with Steve, Liz makes it clear it’s no life being married to a prisoner.
When she then overhears Liz and Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) talking about the effect her imprisonment would have on Steve and Amy, Becky decides to take action. Steve is stunned to find a note from Becky revealing she‘s gone.
Sally (Sally Whittaker) plans a surprise dinner party for Kevin’s (Michael Le Vell) belated birthday celebrations. An uneasy Molly (Vicky Binns) is roped in to help with the food, while Tyrone (Alan Halsall) keeps Kevin occupied. But unable to bear the awkwardness Molly warns Kevin about his surprise. Kevin’s barely able to hide his discomfort as he’s greeted by Sally, the Dobbs and the bickering Peacocks.
Emily’s (Eileen Derbyshire) upset that Ramsay’s cremation will take place in Australia as she‘s desperate to pay her respects to the man she‘d grown so fond of. Rita (Barbara Knox) tackles Norris (Malcolm Hebden), suggesting the arrangements could be changed. Will Norris back down and let go of his emotions?.
Elsewhere Claire’s (Julia Haworth) still angry with Ashley (Steven Arnold), believing he refused the vasectomy in case he ever wants children with another woman. Connie (Rita May) suggests Jack (William Tarmey) move in with her. Will he accept her offer?
This episode is written by Debbie Oates and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

Friday 4 September [2]
Kevin’s (Michael Le Vell) surprise dinner party is underway but it quickly turns into the night from hell as all three couples use the evening to vent their frustrations over their marriages.
Claire (Julia Haworth) gets drunk and snipes at Ashley (Steven Arnold) over his non vasectomy, while Sally (Sally Whittaker) constantly makes jokes at Kevin’s expense. Unable to bear the tension Molly (Vicky Binns) finally snaps and accuses Sally of being downright nasty. Tyrone’s (Alan Halsall) stunned by her increasingly irrational behaviour but Kevin knows what’s behind it and holding his breath he waits to see if Molly is about to reveal all about their affair. Claire meanwhile tells Ashley she’s banning sex with immediate effect.
As a frantic Steve (Simon Gregson) searches for Becky (Katherine Kelly), she phones the Croppers to say goodbye. Realising she’s about to do a runner Roy (David Neilson) correctly guesses she is at the coach station and Steve races down there. But as he arrives at the station he spots Becky boarding a bus. Steve pleads with her to come home, insisting that by leaving she will be breaking his heart. But has he got to her in time?
In the pub, Peter (Chirs Gascoyne) chats up an attractive woman, Naomi. All is going well until he overhears Janice on the phone to Leanne. Is he really ready to move on?
And Jack’s (William Tarmey) in a sombre mood as he celebrates Vera’s birthday by pouring her a sherry. Is he really prepared to say goodbye to Coronation Street?
This episode is written by Debbie Oates and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

We've got some great news for all you Carla Gordon fans.
Actress Alison King, who plays the formidable business-woman, is back on set.
It's her first day back today after giving birth to her daughter Daisy Mae.
Carla will be back on-screen initially from the 16th to the 23rd October. She then makes a full reappearence from 23rd Nov onwards.
A show insider said: "It's great to have Alison back on set. A lot has gone on since Carla's disappearance and with Tony and Maria now a couple, it looks set to be a explosive conclusion to what has been a very dramatic storyline."
We last saw Carla speeding away from the Street in her car after Tony confessed to her that he'd killed Liam.
We can't wait to see how the story will unfold.
We'll let you know when we have the first pics of Alison on set.

We've spoken to Corrie bosses following reports that Boyzone star Keith Duffy is making a comeback to the show.
We can confirm that Keith, who played Irish hunk Ciaran McCarthy, has been in talks with producers, but no decision has yet been made about a return to the Street.
A Corrie spokesman said: "He has been in the building and met with the producer Kim Crowther about three weeks ago, but nothing has been decided as yet."
A national tabloid newspaper has reported that everything is in place for Keith to return.
We'll let you know if and when a contract is signed.

Oooh, there's a shock spoiler in The Daily Star today as they reckon that Tony Gordon is going to confess all - to Roy Cropper.
The paper says that Tony reveals everything to Roy after a health scare leaves him determined to come clean about his sins. And Roy will be by Tony’s side when he collapses and is rushed to hospital. Tony says to Roy: “You’re a good man Roy Cropper. So I need to make a confession to you. I killed him Roy‚ I killed Liam, I killed Liam!”
Roy begs Tony to tell the police. But we'll have to wait and see whether Tony does the right thing or if Roy turns him in.

Actor Robert Beck has returned to filming with Coronation Street for another short stint with the ITV soap, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal.
The 39-year-old - who is married to co-star Jane Danson, Leanne Battersby in the series - reprises his role as Tony Gordon's (Gray O'Brien) henchman Jimmy Dockerson towards the end of October as part of Carla Gordon's (Alison King) return plot.
Details surrounding Jimmy's comeback are being kept under wraps, but he was spotted filming last night on location with King, who returned to work earlier this week after maternity leave.
A Corrie source told DS: "With Carla back on the scene, Tony starts to panic as she's the only one who could expose his murderous ways.
"Tony's already used Jimmy to kill Liam and subsequently enlisted his help to put the frighteners on Jed Stone, so why's Jimmy back this time?"
They added: "Carla had best watch her back as Tony will go to whatever lengths to ensure people disappear for good."
In February, Beck and Danson were celebrating the birth of their second child Sam Alfie Robert.
They have another son called Harry Alexander Jack who was born in July 2006.

MORE Tony spoilers;
CORRIE killer Tony Gordon will order a henchman to carry out a hit while he is at a christening - in a plot straight out of The Godfather.
Tony arranges for ex-wife Carla to be bumped off in the same way Michael Corleone gets rid of rivals in the movie starring Marlon Brando.
Hit ... actress Alison King
Hit ... actress Alison King
And just like the mafia don, played by Al Pacino in the 1972 classic, the deed is to be done as he stands in church swearing to be a baby's godfather.
To add to the drama, the Weatherfield Church bell will toll four times. With each toll the camera will cut between Tony listening to the vicar and Carla sitting in the factory office with the killer waiting to strike.
Tony (Gray O'Brien) decides to kill off Carla when she threatens to tell new girlfriend Maria Connor (Samia Smith) that he murdered her hubby Liam.
The scenes, set to air on ITV1 in November, will be a sensational comeback after maternity leave for Alison King, 36, who plays Carla. She told friends: "It's going to be the most dramatic return that I could have dreamt of."

I took it myself.
Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan didn’t seem to care who saw her looking dishevelled in her nightclothes on a trip to Asda with a friend last week.
It’s a worrying sign of the state of mind of the gorgeous star, who plays sex kitten Rosie Webster in the soap, since she split with Daniel Scott, 22, the man she thought she’d marry.
‘One of the reasons Helen’s partying stands out is that she used to stay in all the time when she was with Danny,’ a source close to the actress tells Now.
‘She was very loved-up – they moved in together three months after meeting, after all – but he also used to get jealous. Helen was torn between wanting to reassure him and enjoying the attention she gets as a sex symbol.'
Danny was said to have struggled with Helen’s sexy image, although a spokesman for the soap insists the split was amicable and that Danny wasn’t jealous.
‘It’s sad because Helen actually thought they would get married and be together for ever,' says our source. 'She’s constantly in tears. She feels like the relationship grounded her, so without that she doesn’t know what to do. Helen’s had fame from such a young age. In a way that protected her from real life.’
Amid reports from the Corrie set that she’s been in tears, Helen was forced to spend her 19th birthday with friends rather than her man. She looked extremely drunk and even had to be helped back into her shoes at one point by co-stars Brooke Vincent, Vicky Binns and Jennie McAlpine on the night out at Manchester hot spot Panacea.
That followed hot on the heels of a night out the week before, where Helen got hammered alongside co-stars Kym Marsh and Nikki Patel. The trio got so leathered at Manchester’s San Carlo restaurant that Helen and Nikki even took a tumble to the ground when they left.
‘As Danny’s moved back in with his parents, Helen has to go home to the house they shared on her own,’ the friend adds. ‘She just tries to blot that out. It’s tough when it’s a first love like that.
‘The way she’s behaving is reminiscent of the distress Britney Spears showed after she split from childhood sweetheart Justin Timberlake. It isn’t easy balancing the attention you get as a sex symbol with a stable relationship. We’re hoping she’ll be back to her old self soon.’

Do maria/tony leave together then because I heard from the actor himself Gray that hes character Tony leaves in nov and he finishes filming in october so he can have time off before rehearsals for his panto stint (i was not aware he was doing panto). I was in manchester on friday near the set so went up there to see who was filming.
I know samia finishes late sept or early october as shes due in october.

Regarding who beat David up there are 5 suspects according to the Corrie website. This one made me laugh.
"Suspect number four: Gail Platt
Being a mother to David requires serious patience and when it comes to her son, Gail seems to be a saint. As everyone around his regards him as sly and untrustworthy, Gail gives him all the second chances he needs. Let's not forget he threw her down the stairs, almost killing her, when he discovered she'd helped his girlfriend Tina organise an abortion. Has Gail finally had enough of her youngest son?"
:laugh3:
I can imagine her putting a hoody on and masking herself and then going out and kicking seven shades out of David.....not.

Coronation Street has raided the Granada music cupboards again for two episodes of the Weatherfield soap to air next week.
On Monday, Norris (Malcolm Hebden) hears the shock news that his half-brother Ramsay (Andrew Sachs) died on his flight home to Australia. Emily (Eileen Derbyshire), who had taken a keen liking to Ramsay, is absolutely devastated when she hears.
During the final few minutes of the second episode of the week, Emily takes out an 'Australian Favourites' CD with a note stuck to it from Ramsay which reads: 'I hope you enjoy these and think of me sometimes. With gratitude and affection, Ramsay.'
It's a touching moment as Emily turns on the stereo and Alex Hook's version of the Aussie classic 'Waltzing Matilda' plays over the end of the ep.
Meanwhile, during next Friday's first episode, Take That's 'Said It All' is used over a scene with Becky (Katherine Kelly) drinking a cocktail after hearing Liz (Beverley Callard) mouthing off to Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) about her.
Last month, the producers chose to use Lily Allen's 'LDN' and The Smiths' 'Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want' in the episodes which led to the peak of Joe McIntrye's pill addiction story.
Prior to that, the most notable use of incidental music was back in December for Carla (Alison King) and Tony's (Gray O'Brien) wedding, during which they used the extremely effective Green Day song 'Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)'.

Cannot wait for Carla to come back. It should be really great. Hopefully this storyline will take us up to Christmas and then A HUGE Christmas shocker should happen and hopefully end the storyline. It's been going on for ages. Lmao =]
And It's sad to see that He died. I missed Corrie on Monday so I shall watch it on Itv player tomorrow =]
I would quite like Blanche to have a big storyline soon. She always seems to be in the background these days and never really the main part of the storyline. She's such a hilarious and loved character and I think that she should have the chance to shine as a serious actress soon and show off her skills. I doub't she will be around on Coronation street much longer To be quite honest and I expect the lady who plays her wil be getting a bit bored of corrie now in her elder years and will probably move on soon and enjoy the rest of her life. If I was a writer and she had declared she wanted to go.. I would give her a storyline that catches peoples hearts. maybe give her a serious illness and show how she deteriorates over a few months before her death

CORRIE kitchen-fitter Joe McIntyre's life will turn into a nightmare when he falls into the clutches of a ruthless loan shark.
The terrifying ordeal sees the troubled dad's whole family threatened - and mimics a recent real-life case in Manchester.
Real-life shark ... John Kiely
Real-life shark ... John Kiely
Last month thuggish John Kiely, 36, was jailed for five years after netting nearly £3million while charging interest of up to 2,500 per cent.
He sent in heavies to tell clients they would be battered or shot if they failed to keep up payments.
In the ITV1 soap storyline, burly actor Greg Wood will play shark Rick Neeland, who buys a kitchen supplier Joe owes £2,000.
The leech then raises rates sky-high - which soon leaves Joe, played by Reece Dinsdale, 50, owing a whopping £9,000.
Rick tells Joe: "Unless you pay up we'll hound you and intimidate you until you're scared to leave the house."
And he warns: "By the time we're finished with you, you'll sell everything you own and borrow from everybody you know just to get rid of us."
But Joe still can't find the money and soon he is not the only person in danger.
Rick says: "Next time I won't be on my own and we'll be calling when your family is here to strip the place if we have to."
And in hellish scenes the heartless yob will push into the house Joe shares with Gail Platt (Helen Worth) to look for anything of value to seize.
Desperate Joe, who has long battled financial problems and depression, then makes the decision to protect his family - whatever the cost to himself. The scenes air in November.

Carla's back and she doesn't waste any time getting down to business. Some of Alison King's first scenes after her maternity leave involve Robert Beck who plays Tony's henchman Jimmy. If you will recall, he's the one that ran down Liam and put the fear into Jed Stone as well. Carla confronted both men which led to her putting the pieces together about Liam's murder and Tony's part in it. Now she's back and she means business. In the course of filming the episode where Carla and Jimmy have a struggle, though, the actors got so into it that they fell off a table and Robert ended up with a sprained thumb and Alison got a few bruises, according to the Mirror! But we've also heard that Carla is going to be involved in a murder plot. Jimmy? Tony? Maria? or is that just the unravelling of Liam's murder and making it public? Stay tuned! It'll all unfold next month!

IT'S nearly a year since Corrie villain Tony Gordon ordered Liam Connor's killing - and he will soon try and add two more victims.
Murderous Tony decides he must bump off loveable couple Roy and Hayley Cropper after they discover he was behind Liam's death.
The twisted factory boss (Gray O'Brien) threatens to take both their lives after confessing to Roy about his part in the murder on what he thinks is his deathbed in Weatherfield General Hospital.
Do-gooder Roy (David Neilson) finds Tony after he has a heart attack and stays with him in intensive care, where he's not expected to survive the night.
Thinking he's about to die, Tony tells Roy: "There's something I have to say - I killed Liam! I killed him!"
But Tony makes an unexpected recovery and Roy orders him to hand himself in to police at once.
When Roy threatens to tell the cops himself, Tony warns him he might "have a tragic accident".
Poor Roy makes things worse by confiding in wife Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh), who advises him to go to the police straight away.
But Tony soon finds out that Hayley knows his secret too in the gripping Christmas plot.
TV Biz's man on the cobbles said: "The storyline will come to a climax in the New Year.
"The writers thought Roy and Hayley would be ideal to be a big part of the plotline that sees evil Tony finally get his comeuppance."

Kevin Kennedy 'in talks' for Corrie return
Rex Features
Former Coronation Street star Kevin Kennedy has announced that he wants to return to the soap next year.
The 48-year-old actor claimed that he has been in talks to reprise his role as Curly Watts for the show's 50th anniversary celebrations.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he commented: "It's been discussed at the highest levels and we're all in agreement. Curly still has a tale to tell but he's got to have a good reason to come back.
"The best soap storylines are where the audience is in on it but the other characters aren't. Say Curly comes back to the Street after getting out of jail? The viewers will know this but the Corrie residents won't. There'd be loads of stuff to find out as the story unravels.
"I still live in Manchester and pop into the studios for a cuppa and to catch up on the gossip."
Kennedy's character was written out of the ITV1 drama after 21 years in 2003. Viewers saw him leaving Weatherfield with wife Emma (Angela Lonsdale) and son Ben.
A Coronation Street spokesman said: "With the 50th anniversary next year we would never rule out the return of any favourite character."
It is not the first time that Kennedy has discussed a possible comeback. In April, he suggested that there is still "mileage" left in Curly.

Roy and Hayley are set to leave Weatherfield for a trip to Transylvania - thanks to an invite to Frankie Baldwin's marriage.
It'll be a WAG wedding, as Frankie's getting hitched to a football star in the Romanian league, and you can guess things don't go according to plan.

Kevin Webster's clandestine affair with Molly Dobbs in Coronation Street is to take a tragic turn for the worse when Kevin's wife Sally is diagnosed with breast cancer.
Producers at the Weatherfield soap are working hand-in-hand with a panel of breast cancer experts and charities to ensure that Sally's story is portrayed as realistic as possible.
Over the coming months, Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and his mistress Molly (Vicky Binns) continue meeting in secret for steamy sessions at a motel behind their respective partners' backs. However, the pair reach a crossroads in their affair when Molly asks Kevin to make a decision about their potential future together.
Kevin's world comes crashing down around him, though, when Sally - played by 46-year-old Sally Whittaker - breaks the tragic news that she has found a lump on her breast and has been diagnosed with the disease.
Unbeknown to her family, Sally has kept her shock discovery a secret until the doctors informed her of the biopsy results. On hearing the life-changing news, a guilt-ridden Kevin is forced to choose between supporting his wife and family through the turbulent time ahead or continue seeing Molly.
Speaking of the plot, Whittaker said: "I do know women who have suffered or are suffering from breast cancer. For the last year, I have been fundraising for breast cancer charities and am a long-standing patron for The Genesis Appeal. So, when I was told about this storyline I was determined to do it justice for all the women out there who are going through what Sally is."
She continued: "A few years ago, I found a lump and was sent to get it checked out straight away. I was lucky that it proved to be nothing but the time spent waiting to find out the results was agonising."
A Coronation Street spokesperson added: "Breast cancer is a disease which affects so many women and their families. We are keen to ensure that the storyline accurately reflects the many problems and issues faced by breast cancer sufferers."
Sally will receive the devastating news in December.
Producers uncharacteristically took the decision to release story information earlier than usual to enable the show to work openly and closely with its panel of experts

Sally is furious that the fella has been released from jail and allowed to live on the same street as Rosie.
So she sneaks across the street and blacks out Fiz (Jennie McAlpine, 25).
She is so blinkered with hatred for John she even alienates husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell, 44).

Standing on a chair she delivers a heartfelt speech appealing to the residents to show some compassion and understanding and is rewarded with a warm round of applause – much to Sally’s dismay!

Friday 9 October [2]
Kevin (Michael Le Vell) is on the back foot and his mind races to come up with a reason why he is not on the pictures from the race. In desperation he lies to Sally (Sally Whittaker) saying the reason his photo isn’t on the website is because he pulled out of the race after 2 miles and Molly (Vicky Binns) kindly stopped to help him. Amused Sally believes him and they head for an anniversary drink in the Rovers. But what will Sally say to Molly?
Peter (Chris Gascoyne) and Leanne (Jane Danson) excitedly discuss their plans for the new bar. Concerned Leanne asks Peter if running a bar is really the right thing for a recovering alcoholic but Peter assures her he’ll be fine. Later at Ken’s birthday celebrations Bill (Peter Armitage) starts talking about the plans and Ken (William Roache) is horrified as he realises what Peter has up his sleeve. Ken, Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) and Blanche (Maggie Jones) think it’s a recipe for a disaster – an alcoholic and an arsonist and are convinced Leanne must be behind the whole thing. Peter’s angry at their lack of confidence in him and storms out of the Rovers with Leanne not far behind.
Tony (Gray O’Brien) and Maria (Samia Smith) starting planning baby Liam’s christening. Tony suggests they go out for dinner the night before until he faces the horrible realisation that it’s the anniversary of Liam’s death.
Lloyd (Craig Charles) is enjoying being the DJ at Ken (William Roache) and Emily’s (Eileen Derbyshire) party not least because he is convinced Liz (Beverly Callard) wants him around. He asks her for a dance and tries to kiss her but is mortified when she pushes him away. Feeling humiliated he starts chatting to Teresa (Karen Henthorne) and discovers they share the same taste in music, enjoying her company he invites her back to his flat and as they get drunk on tequila one thing leads to another.
Elsewhere Norris (Malcolm Hebdon) sacks Sheila (Janice Connolly) from the Kabin and for the first time she is rendered speechless.

CORRIE cafe curmudgeon Roy Cropper fears he's had his chips when psychopath Tony Gordon lunges at him with a bread knife.
Twisted Tony (Gray O'Brien) coughed to Roy (David Neilson) about murdering love rival Liam Connor (Ron James-Collier) in a moment of weakness.
Now all he needs to do is silence the do-gooder once and for all.
After hearing his confession, Roy pleaded with the knicker factory boss to hand himself over to cops.
But Tony won't risk his happiness with Maria and decides that a spot more murdering will solve his problems.
Late at night Tony follows hapless Roy to Weatherfield canal with his deadly weapon glistening behind his back.
But Tony makes the same error he made with Jed Stone - and loses his advantage by foolishly explaining his chilling logic about why the sandwich man has to die.
So it's not long before the two men are tussling in the canal.
But will they both make it out alive?

______________
The Queen will reportedly be invited to make a special appearance on Coronation Street.
According to the Daily Star Sunday, the head of the royal household will be asked to feature on an episode during the soap's 50th anniversary year in 2010.
The newspaper also claimed that the Queen is expected to accept the invitation.
A source from the show said all the stops would be pulled out if the royal did agree to travel to Manchester.
"They will literally red-carpet the M6 for the Queen's special guest appearance.
"We had Prince Charles for the 40th, which was great, but the feeling is that for the 50th we had to top even him - and the only person capable of doing that is the Queen herself.
"Camilla is a big fan of the show and hopefully we haven't put her nose out of place by insisting on the Queen. It's such a huge milestone that it has got to be her."
In May 1982, the Queen visited the set of the soap and spent an afternoon meeting cast and crew members.
The source stated: "It was a great day. The Street was decked out in red, white and blue bunting from end to end. It was a real party atmosphere and the effect it had on the cast was huge.
Commenting on the likelihood of the Queen agreeing to the show's latest request, the source said: "The Street sees itself as a national institution, second only to the monarchy, so why not?
"She should certainly feel at home in the Rovers, with a landlady named Liz."

MURDER WEEK II =D
Tonight's episode kicks off a dramatic and compelling week's viewing for Coronation Street fans as Carla returns to Weatherfield and time starts to run out for Tony Gordon...
It is the day of baby Liam's christening and after a difficult start to the day an uneasy truce is called between the Connors and Maria (Samia Smith) and Tony (Gray O'Brien). Helen (Dearblah Molloy) is touched and grateful when Maria relents and dresses Liam in the family christening gown. As the family settle down for lunch Tony poposes a toast but is interrupted by a phone call. Clearly unsettled by the call Tony tells Maria and the Connors that he has to go to an emergency meeting but assures them he'll be back in time to leave for the christening. Leaving the house Tony heads straight for the cemetery and Liam's grave where Carla (Alison King) is waiting for him!!
Elsewhere on the street Luke (Craig Kelly) is also keeping secrets as he furtively packs a bag. An unsupecting Rosie (Helen Flanagan) heads off to Underworld with him full of ideas about the changes she will make now that she is the majority shareholder - Luke strings her along whilst secretly deleting his computer files and planning his escape, but what exactly is he up to?
Pam (Kate Anthony) has been debt collecting for Bill (Peter Armitage) but he's less than impressed when she returns with a boat from one customer in lieu of payment. Joe (Reece Dinsdale) however is quite taken with it.
This episode is written by John Kerr and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

PI for the rest of the week
Monday 19 October [2]
A stunned Tony (Gray O'Brien) takes in Carla's threatening demeanor at the graveside. It is clear she is here for a reason. She calmly tells Tony that he has overstepped the mark setting up home with Maria and the baby and that he has to end it now, sell her his shares in Underworld and leave Weatherfield for good - or she will tell the police everything. Tony's pleas that he loves Maria cut no ice with Carla (Alison King) and she makes it clear she means every word she has said.
Meanwhile back on the street Maria (Samia Smith) and the Connors are enjoying their pre christening lunch oblivious to the drama unfolding at the cemetery.
Carla's return has also had a knock on effect at Underworld as it starts to become clear to Rosie (Helen Flanagan) that Luke has been less than honest with her. Realising he has sold her shares that he no longer owns she tries desperately to cancel the cheque - but too late, Luke has cleaned her out and disappeared without a trace!
Elsewhere Gail (Helen Worth)is furious when Joe (Reece Dinsdale) returns home with a boat and Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) finds out Freda (Alil Briggs) has lost her job and her home.
This episode is written by Jonathan Harvey and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

Thursday 22 October
Rosie's (Helen Flanagan) crisis over Luke's fraud proves the perfect cover for Tony (Gray O'Brien) as he struggles to come to terms with Carla's ultimatum. Telling Maria (Samia Smith) he has been caught up with Rosie's problems he arrives at the house in the nick of time just as the christening party are preparing to leave.
As they arrive at the church Tony gets a text and notices Carla (Alison King) sitting in a car nearby. Unnerved he approaches and she tells him that if he goes through with being godfather she will march into the church and spill the beans to the congregation. Tony begs her to wait until after the service for Maria's sake and promises he will meet her afterwards to sign over his shares. But as she agrees and leaves Tony makes a phone call - what is he planning?
Meanwhile Sally (Sally Whittaker) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) console a devastated Rosie as she comes to terms with the fact that she has lost everything. Kevin tells her to go to the police but can't help but wonder if it is a blessing in disguise as Stape's money has caused nothing but problems.
It's Molly's (Vicky Binns) birthday and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) has arranged for Jack (William Tarmey) and Connie (Rita May) to join them at the Rovers - Molly is thrilled to see them and delighted with her presents - until Tyrone surprises her with his gift!
This episode is written by Martin Allen and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

Friday 23 October [1]
Having held up the christening Tony (Gray O'Brien) finally arrives but no sooner have proceedings started than his phone goes and he hot foots it out of the church once more.
This time however it isn't Carla waiting for him, but Jimmy (Robert Beck), and Tony has the upper hand. Just as Carla had threatened him with the police Tony tells an agitated Jimmy that the time has come for him to get rid of Carla once and for all otherwise he'll have no choice but to tell the police everything. Realising Tony is not making idle threats Jimmy agrees. Back in the Church Tony takes his place beside Maria and prepares to renounce evil - knowing all the while that he has just signed Carla's death warrant!
Elsewhere Molly (Vicky Binns) explains to Kevin (Michael Le Vell) that Tyrone's gift of a home gym is going to make it very difficult for her to sneak off to the motel.
Norris (Malcolm Hebdon) is less than pleased with the noise Joe (Reece Dinsdale) is making working on his boat but Gail (Helen Worth) sticks up for Joe despite not being best impressed with the boat herself.
This episode is written by Chris Fewtrell and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

Friday 23 October [2]
As Carla (Alison King) waits at the factory for Tony (Gray O'Brien) she hears a noise and, unnerved, leaves and heads back to her flat. Taking a call from her Tony realises his plans are unravelling and tells Jimmy (Robert Beck) to make his way to her flat. But as the clock ticks Tony starts to have second thoughts about having Carla killed and tries desperately to get hold of Jimmy and call off the hit.
Tension builds in this final episode of the week as Tony realises he has to try and get to Carla's flat before Jimmy but as Carla gets ready for bed she is confronted by the menacing figure of Jimmy and a struggle ensues.
Meanwhile Tony has told Maria (Samia Smith) that he needs a breath of fresh air and he races to the flat - will he make it in time or will he have the blood of another murder victim on his hands?
This episode is written by Simon Crowther and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is Duncan Foster.

Former Coronation Street star Keith Duffy has signed up to reprise his role as Weatherfield womaniser Ciaran McCarthy.
The 35-year-old actor and Boyzone popstar quit (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a18887/top-corrie-actor-quits-soap.html) his part as Peter Barlow's (Chris Gascoyne) old navy friend in February 2005 after two-and-a-half years with the ITV1 soap. He later revealed (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a22678/duffy-quit-corrie-to-save-marriage.html) that he made the decision to spend more time with his family.
However, in August this year it emerged (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a172430/keith-duffy-in-talks-for-corrie-return.html) that Duffy had entered talks with Corrie producers for a possible comeback. The news came after he spoke (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a89546/keith-duffy-wants-to-return-to-corrie.html) about wanting (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a132251/keith-duffy-ill-go-back-to-corrie.html) to return on more than one occasion.
Duffy will now begin filming at the drama's Manchester studios in December and return to screens in February next year, DS can confirm.
A Coronation Street spokesperson said today: "We're looking forward to having Keith back in the show. Ciaran has got history on the Street and quickly falls back into his friendship with Peter Barlow. But where Peter's changed, Ciaran hasn't and he's soon up to his old womanising ways."
Ciaran became romantically involved with Shelley Unwin (Sally Lindsay), her mother Bev (Susie Blake) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) during his original Weatherfield stint. He also had a relationship with Sunita Parekh (Shobna Gulati), who will be seen returning (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a156130/shobna-gulatis-corrie-return-confirmed.html) to the cobbles with a new fiancé (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a180515/sunitas-new-fiance-cast-in-corrie.html) in December.
Duffy reunited (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a79219/keating-confirms-boyzone-reunion.html) with his Boyzone bandmates in 2007 and has since appeared (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/a133071/keith-duffy-joins-irish-soap-fair-city.html) in Irish soap Fair City.

Coronation Street bad boy Gary Windass is joining the Army - making him the cast's first serving soldier in nearly 50 years of the soap.
Bigmouth Gary, played by Mikey North, 22, pours scorn on the nation's war victims then has an attack of conscience and dons a uniform.
Corrie fans will see him in a shock scene in November mocking Gail Platt's dad Ted for wearing a poppy.
Ginger-haired Gary sneers: "If a load of losers want to get themselves blown to smithereens for nothing that's their lookout."
He tells Ted that poppies "must be a nice little earner, they cost hardly anything to make".
Bosses at the ITV1 soap expect some viewers will be outraged by the insult - but the character makes amends after Ted (Michael Byrne) takes him to task.
Families Gary - who did time for burgling Audrey Roberts's house - visits an Army recruitment office and stuns everyone by joining.
A show insider said: "Producers are braced for a flood of complaints about his sick attack on those who have given their lives.
"But Ted's response sets Gary thinking and he completely changes his views after a visit to the recruitment centre."
In an episode to be screened in December, Gary tells his mum Anna (Debbie Rush): "One of the instructors thought I had something and that I was the sort of lad the Army needs."
The soap source said: "Corrie has always reflected real-life issues and this is one that touches many families today."
Former Street favourite Jim McDonald (Charles Lawson) was a sergeant but had left the Army before arriving in Weatherfield.
