Default rubbish dumping on street - cost to clear the mess doubles ? recycling is to blame

rubbish dumping on street - cost to clear the mess doubles ? recycling is to blame 21.10.15

finally we are waking

local councils are quivering

but i am sitting back shaking

i am enjoying watching them slivering.

every home was given a bag bin and bucket

is the message getting through

judging by the news people are saying ???? it

i want to thank the dumping crew.

it is taking its toll

just so much palaver

what next prison and no parole

are you going to have to fly tip with a balaclava.

if the council had brain power

they would see the solution

bring back 2 weekly bin collections with no cower

rid this recycling pollution.

people are not abiding

the double in cost is proof

so all this unnecessary stop providing

do a u-turn and don't hoof.

with more bin collectors

the streets will be cleaner

i no i am going to get objectors

but nice streets in my life equals greener.

( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/pa/...ents-rise.html simple quick question ? is it time to provide more bin collections so people can get rid of there waste or do we need to keep trying to educate people into recycling and get them to save everything in there home and dispose of it correctly by recycling. only for our government to send our waste to china by the ton to dispose of. which i am sure is not environmentally green ? are you as sceptical as me ? )

They do need to go back to weekly collections. Most of our stuff does'nt get recycled.Once the recycling bin is full it all goes in the general waste bin and both bins gets over full.Cheap skate bastards.

We struggle with 2-weekly collections, I have a brush in the back garden specifically for smushing down the bins to fit more in...

Next year the local council is going to 3-weekly collections because of budget cuts. Sigh.

The thing is, even if we do condense our waste / create less in the first place... what the hell is going to happen in the warmer months when it's been 20 days since the last bin collection? They'll be absolutely crawling with maggots

Yeah, there's a blue bin and green bin collected on alternating weeks. Both are always full.

I've noticed in my area that the public bins are always overflowing, bags on the floor with dog poo in (by the bins, because people can't get them in!)

I'm a pretty good recycler, and as a family of 4 we just get by on a 2 weekly collection, don't know if we could do it on a 3 weekly collection.

The council cuts are really starting to show.

In some areas the council haven't cut the grass for months.

How do you go through that much rubbish? I find that we have more recyclable stuff per week than actual rubbish. We bring them to recycling bins ourselves though

Yep, I've been there and done that too. We missed a collection... the next two bags we filled, I jumped on them to get them in. But more just kept on coming! So I started putting full bags in the shed. Three of them. And then I forgot about them for 4 months...

Some people round my way still have green bags that they use for recycling, and it's a nightmare on a windy day, there's plastic bottles and bits of cardboard blowing everywhere

Blackpool Council need to invest in ****ing dumpsters, they get us to just leave bags out on the street... in the seagull capital of the world, it looks like the apocolypse on Tuesdays.

I have a black bin and a green recycling bin that go out alternate weeks. I never fill them. My parents never fill theirs... my friend and his partner never fill theirs. What are you people throwing away?

We recycle,we have a rubbish bin,a garden rubbish bin and a plastic/cans and glass bin,it's all taken away on fornightly cycles, haven't had any problems so far,as for large items we have to pay about Ł16 to have 6 bulk items removed,or we have a guy who comes round collecting scrap metal for free,I see no need for fly tipping at all it's lazy and thoughtless.

Hubby has jumped on top of the rubbish many a time when the two kids still lived at home.
We do recycle, our bin gets emptied every week and it's not always full nowadays. The thought of full bins for more than a week in sumner sounds stinky.

We really struggle with fortnightly collections and now the council are trying out monthly collections in some areas here

We have 4 bins, grey for general rubbish, blue for paper/plastic/cardboard/tins etc, green for glass and brown for garden waste.

And we still have to travel to the dump at least once a month
