Two similar films in which a couple are been terrorised by psychos but which do you prefer?

Love both but the Strangers scared the hell out of me more. |

oh actually I did see Vacancy, it's pretty good, I think Strangers might be too creepy for me though, those kind of films really make me uneasy

The Strangers is ok but I find it very overrated and neither characters were likeable enough and I think it relies on jump scares a lot plus the killers motive was pretty lame. Just because, oh ok...? Wheras I adore Vacancy, the scene when the husband finds the snuff tapes is genuinely horrifying, imagine the panic you would feel finding a VHS of people being butchered in the very hotel room you're sitting in. I also think the motive was pretty good and the villains creepy as in they're just normal guys.

It is already on kodi, watched it the other night. Christina Hendricks is criminally underused and the main actress is an annoying twat.

![]() I watched both for the first time about a year ago and I found The Strangers quite boring tbh. Vacancy, on the other hand, had me on the edge of my seat throughout. Last edited by Jason.; 25-03-2018 at 06:42 PM. |

Vacancy was ok but I didn't think it was that great. And I don't think I've ever seen The Strangers but it rings a bell it might be a movie I was planning to watch or something.

Yeah I find The Strangers pretty boring. There were a few nice scenes and Liv Tyler carried it well but it was just jump scares really and I found it quite annoying how the killers seemed to know the ins and outs of the house they apparently picked at random.

The Strangers had the slow start up with that awkward sex scene to top it off imo so I've voted for Vacancy.

Not normally into these types of movies, but strangely enjoyed the uneasiness of the Strangers, even if it got silly by the end.

Right now i'm going to say The Strangers. I can't remember much about Vacancy, so i'm going to have to rewatch it. I remember enjoying it at the time though.

I quite liked both. It's the kind of horror film I enjoy. There isn't many films like it now though nearly every horror film is paranormal and I refuse to watch those films

But yeah what was the other film like this called where this family go on a holiday and another family start to stalk them and try and become them I think a dog gets killed too Edit: looked it up it was called in their skin it's a good one also identity was a bit creepy too and had a great twist I kind of enjoyed hostel too but it's a bit too much at some points My favourite horror franchise is wrong turn!
