It's excellent, I thought it was well acted and well written. I think some of the characterisations were a bit off (Eddie's backstory feels a bit simplified here) but then again this version of Beverly is probably the best one out of both adaptations AND the book. I also liked some of the changes from the previous versions.

Spoiler:

I'm glad they omitted the Mummy and the Werewolf from this version, both always struck me as very dumb in both the book and the 1990's version and I liked the adjustments to Eddie and Richie's fears here


My only criticism is that there was way too much CGI when it came to Pennywise. CGI has little to no place in horror films when it comes to the monsters. Practical effects or nothing.

That being said it's still a solid 9/10 and one of the best films I've seen this year.
