Hands off my Brick!

He has form for "slapping" though, have you seen the video of him slapping a reporter few years ago?

Slapping is calculated - it can cause as much immediate pain as a punch but is highly unlikely to cause lasting injury (bruising, fractures, actual head injuries). Punching someone is (physically) highly risky and could end up resulting in heavy charges like ABH or even GBH - a slap (unless it's a VERY hefty slap) is only going to be considered a minor assault.
Also high risk of self-injury with a closed fist punch. |

There was an horrendous misjudgment.. by both guys . I would expect the popularity of both to fluctuate dramatically.. I expected Chris Rock to lose millions of fans .. those horrified by the insensitivity/ cruelty and also the millions of devout Will Smith fans Maybe Will Smith will lose millions but crazily gain millions of people who loved how he jumped to his wife’s defence. It’s a complex moral situation Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Last edited by Zizu; 30-03-2022 at 01:06 PM. |

That's like you going to work, doing your job and then some outsider telling you that you made a horrendous misjudgement. You'd think to yourself, "Sorry? What are you talking about? I did nothing wrong, I just got on with my work" I once had a job were I earned less money than Duncan Goodhew's barber. That was a joke about a bald person there. That so called 'reporter' had prankster troll vibes written all over him, doubt he was a genuine interviewer. He tried to invade Smith's personal space , and It was only a tap on the cheek that Smith gave him. It was hardly a proper slap.

Wasn't he also accused of feeding his girlfriend's drug addiction, which led to her death ?.

Just supposing this reporter guy tried this with someone like Scarlett Johansson, wouldn't she be in her every right to push him away or slap him for being inappropriate ?. It seems some people think it's ok to grab & touch celebrities like they own them or something. |

Sue Perkins has done similar jobs and I didn't appreciate her jokes but I didn't want her physically attacked for telling a joke I personally didn't like. The audience was laughing, including Will Smith, at Chris Rocks act so they seemed satisfied with the jokes he told. Telling jokes is a legal activity and until the day comes that it's not then Chris Rock did nothing wrong. If you don't like jokes then change the law and make telling jokes a crime. |
