Have to say I never carry cash any more - even things like ice cream vans in the middle of nowhere (to my actual surprise) take contactless these days.

Since Covid I've stopped carrying cash around as well, i regretted that last nigt when I had an armful of stuff to bring to the checkout in my local shop but there had just been a power surge so the card machines plus the ATM weren't working
