Just because it doesn't fit in with how you wish to construe his tweet, does not mean that I have to accept that he made an error. I don't believe he did. I believe that he did in fact mean 'Sham really'.... meaning that the whole idea of them all (Alex if you prefer) sharing the money has turned into a sham really.

That fits quite perfectly also, dependant on viewpoint.

That's very much my take on it - and I am perfectly entitled to put that over without being told that I should not have my own opinon, and being told to 'Well, stop taking it literally'.

I shall take it, as I find it. The man said SHAM. That is indeed factual, it's there for all to read.

I think that, in my mind, to hold a dogmatic adherence to "the facts" would be a bit foolish in this instance considering that, what I consider to be logic and common sense would lead most to believe it much more likely that it was a simple misspelling, as is a frequent occurrence in Jay's tweets

Absolutely, why would it not be alright with me Niamh? That's what makes the forum exist. Just comes across very much that anyone who doesn't happen to agree with both of your own opinions - that those opposing ones are incorrect and to be disregarded.

Perhaps you could explain why my own view, ie: that Jay meant to use the word 'sham' - cannot be equally regarded as plausible, as it's clear both you and MTVN feel that's simply not an option to be accepted (regardless of whether you are not in agreement).

I asked quite specifically if you are inferring that my own very reasoned posts, based on factual content in respect of Jay's actual tweet - cannot be regarded as being based on logic and common sense. Whether I am being rigid in using the basis of Jay's actual wording or not.

I don't think I'm being unreasonable in asking you to very clearly, very specifically answer what I asked.

Look, as far as I can see the only reason to think that he meant "sham" was that there is no "e" on the end of the way he spelt it, whereas there are plenty of reasons to think that he did indeed mean "shame", so the latter is a more logical conclusion to reach

Hi folks, Pyramid I love your cat. I cant find the post which I want to reply to but it refers to the money. Having read the pieces from the twits and putting it into context, I would say that Jay meant shame tbh. Shame is a gentler word than sham and this is how I read it. He was totally out of order re the razor but there again that is the type of bloke he is.

Imo he would be upset about Alex not sharing the money because if Alex doesnt keep her side of the bargain then imo Aaron shouldnt neither. Aaron should have the greater amount as he won . In theory Jay would have done better to offer Aaron the 5, thus leaving Aaron's balance to be claimed from Alex. Louise should then have claimed her balance from Alex. It all rests on Alex if Jay has already shared with Louise. The first part needed to be taken up before the second part was undertaken, thus Jay has now lost out and this is possibly why he would be upset at Alex not sharing. It is said in the magazines that Louise and Jay are upset?

I disagree, he'd be gambling with Louise's money because there'd be no guarantee that Alex would split still. So he's right to split his with Louise who is his girlfriend. Aaron wouldn't have split the winnings with Jay regardless!!

Ah but he wouldnt be gambling if Alex kept to the deal. It would all have to be done under everyones understanding. My point is, the ball is definitely in Alex's court and there is no way that Aaron should be expected to share with Jay unless everyone is fair, this could be why Jay is upset at Alex not sharing. As everyone thought that Alex would share, I feel that had things gone to plan then Aaron would have upheld his part. After all how could he accept his balance and then not uphold the rest?

The thing is this it is all water under the bridge now and each one of them will have sorted their own thoughts out on the subject. Possibly we are all only really surmising.
