What has actually happened is you've twisted my words josy.
If you want me to have a say on the topic I will, however I'm not the first person to stomp into a thread and challenge the views of others without having an opinion of their own am I?
It happens every day.

My view is I hope the forecast is wrong, the length and scale of this winter is really frightening.
I would worry about the long and short term implications of such extreme weather conditions both socially and economically.
Winter is exceptionally hard for the vulnerable, and although it's to be expected seasonally I wouldn't have thought anyone would seriously want any adverse weather to continue in fear of it impacting negatively as it is suggested in the Express article in the OP.

I may or may not make a snow angel, I haven't decided.
