Because she knew that the imagery of a black woman changing to a white woman would set people off.

She knew that it would set off the internet.
Because it was really obvious it would and she knew it as soon as she saw the video.
Now, forgive me here, but this was a ****ing beauty vlogger, not an evil genius. A beauty vlogger saw the obvious twist exploit in this video. But the ad execs quality control didn't consider it for a second. Hmmmm. Dove are pretending to be shocked. Hmmmm. Everyone else is claiming that they have no idea how this has happened. HHHhhhmmmm.
Well darn, I guess everyone has been outsmarted. By a beauty vlogger. ... .... .......

I'm too tired to work out what you're on about lol. Ive only just came on and skimmed through the thread. But yes the vlogger knew that showing the screenshots of a black woman turn white would anger her fans and get her a couple shares and retweets.
Edit: I get the convo we're having now. I don't think dove saw this coming. Like the idea of screenshotting a three second vid instead of sharing it is a bit bizarre. Like that's not easier, the vlogger had a motive, and I don't think dove would assume that someone has a motive against them so hard, to the extent of misconstruing their advertisement with multiple screenshots.
