I guess that's what happens when you have archaic gun laws that date back to the Wild West, that allow people like Zimmerman to set himself up as an armed vigilante. It's astounding that considering the amount of previous reports he made to the police, and the fact that he's well known to them and frankly a bit of a flaky character, they allow him to possess a gun. And even more astonishing that when he kills someone, he's allowed to walk free! It's insane.

has nothing to do with gun laws. It has to do with not MURDERING people laws.

The crazy thing about this Zimmerman character, is he has a previous record for attacking the police, but made a bargain plea that enabled him to be able to retain his concealed firearm license.

The NRA is the most powerful lobby in American politics. The 2nd amendment (the right to bear arms) was from a time when people were worried about government tyranny. That amendment is completely outdated these days.

If the government wanted to kill every single citizen in the country, they could do it with drones whilst the preside flies around in AF1.

The American constitution is an amazing document, but it needs to be updated.

Most powerful lobby is definitely the Jewish lobby and not the NRA. Every single tyrant in modern history attempted to disarm their population. Why you think that is?

That's just simply insane, and has no foundation in either facts or history. No other modern populations have ever really been armed, and the NRA isn't about preventing tyranny. The clip involved in the Gabby Gifford shooting proves that. The law that Zimmerman is trying to hide behind is an NRA/Jeb Bush special.

American politicians can question Israel, but name one that recently spoke out against the NRA. Not since the Gore election has anyone dared.

Politicians won't directly speak out against the NRA. To do so would be to alienate a segment of the population some of whom may be willing to vote for you. But they will act against the 2nd amendment. Google "operation fast and furious".

The Jewish Lobby, the military industrial complex, and international bankers is the 3 headed snake that must be dealt with.

CCTV footage of the neighbourhood watch volunteer who shot Trayvon Martin dead in Florida appears to cast doubt on his claim he was badly beaten in a scuffle with the unarmed 17-year-old.

The video shows George Zimmerman climbing handcuffed out of a police car and speaking to officers after he killed the teenager in a gated community outside Orlando on February 26.

Mr Zimmerman has previously claimed he suffered a broken, bloody nose and a head wound after his head was slammed aginst the pavement by the teen.

A lawyer for Trayvon's parents, Benjamin Crump, said: "This certainly doesn't look like a man who told police only an hour or so earlier he suffered a broken nose and had his head repeatedly smashed into the sidewalk.

"It only bolsters our claim that George Zimmerman was not beaten to the point that he feared for his life, as he had indicated.

"This armed vigilante needs to be arrested immediately for the murder of Trayvon Martin."

Mr Zimmerman has claimed he shot Trayvon in self-defence after being attacked. Some witnesses have backed him up but othershave contested his version of events.

Although he was taken into police custody that night, he was never formally arrested and has not been charged with any crime.

Friends have said that Mr Zimmerman cried for days over the shooting.

Speaking on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, the teenager's mother, Sybrina Fulton said: "If I had killed an individual, I'd be crying too. I believe George Zimmerman hunted my son like an animal."

A prosecutor is to announce that George Zimmerman will be charged over the death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, according to the Washington Post.

The newspaper cited a law enforcement official close to the investigation as saying that Florida special prosecutor Angela Corey will make the announcement.

However, the paper did not say what charges would be brought against Mr Zimmerman.
Mr Zimmerman, a neighbourhood watch volunteer, shot the unarmed 17-year-old in a gated community on February 26.

He said acted in self-defence and has so far not been charged with any crime.

Soon after the shooting in the Florida district of Sanford, Mr Zimmerman went into hiding.

Sky's US correspondent Dominic Waghorn said the newspaper claim was a "surprise development".

"This is interesting because Mr Zimmerman's legal team had a hiatus yesterday," he said.

"The legal team said they had lost contact with Mr Zimmerman and were therefore not going to represent him any further."
