Both men from a generation in which being gay was a criminal offence and then when it wasn't was still frowned upon. Many older gay men have lived secret lives married to women, fathering children, hiding away simply because it wasn't safe to be a gay man.

If Ali had inclinations to be in relationship with a man or partake in sexual activity with a man, at any point, she'd identify as bisexual or queer, or do what Nathan does and simply not put a label on it. She called herself a lesbian and there is no reason why that shouldn't be respected.

That's a bit of a reach, you don't know me, you dont know my age..I will tell you though, I'm from the generation that opened the door for gays to be as gay as they want.

I didn't say anything about your age. I questioned how much you are educated on homosexuality. Some previous comments you've made come across as ignorant or just simply homophobic.

Unless you were actually active in your Generations door opening, you can't take credit for it. If you were, that's great but it would be very at odds with some remarks you've made previously that are somewhat problematic.

I do think she was flattered when he joked about them kissing in the smoking room. She kept randomly bringing it up with others and carrying it on at the time. I think that bought him time as far as her taking issue with the way he naturally speaks. And I actually think Marcello knows this. I think it might be why he went to check on her after Khaled/Segun/Hanah's talk about her was exposed. But actual attraction towards him? I very much doubt it.

Gay people can fancy straight people, the same way straight people can fancy gay people. You can't help who you fancy at times. Doesn't mean it's gonna happen. But to say a person of a certain sexual orientation is immune to fancying someone of a different orientation is ridiculous.

How many lesbians have you known that have suddenly decided they fancy men? If people of specific sexual orientations felt it possible they would label themselves as bisexual, bicurious or even pansexual. The way people on here are so fixated on her apparently fancying the men she’s found a dislike for just to use it as a way to invalidate her sexual orientation is what’s ridiculous.
