I find this show entertaining and everything but what's always on my mind is how it works with all the cameramen around? Surely it's hard, unlike Big Brother, to not feel self-aware when you've literally got an entire crew shoving a camera in your face. Whenever a big drama happens I always imagine the cameramen going "OK, you can go off on this person but please wait a while so we can get a good shot of it."

They probably just have really seasoned camera men who are always on it when it comes to quickly getting a good shot. I also imagine the raw footage is probably not as good as it looks in the final edit. Theres probably loads of shots of the camera man quickly turning and trying to focus on a conversation but the editor has cut that out and replaced it with a cut away of the back or something.
One thing I've never got though, is how they get good sound all the time. It doesn't make any sense to me why they chose to use a boom rather than personal microphones surly thats just like a lot more work and now they have to have an extra person on the crew which must make it feel a bit less natural for the cast.
