No to all of the above, however, I personally find porn bleak as **** and have various moral issues with it. Really just a horrible, exploitative industry full of addicts and desperation and frankly if I wanted to see some poor smack addict getting slammed I could just set up CCTV in the alleyway behind the shop. But I really don't.

I would say no, but then if it was pictures/videos of someone they'd met on grindr/tindr then it would be a little weird. Porn/nudes are all such a weird mix.

That isn't porn though... pics sent back and forth of individuals in a personal way. Porn is more media used for a wider audience. What you are describing is a form of cheating... at least that's what I believe.

I've clicked "other" because it depends what you mean by "porn" . If the person is just watching it and it doesn't affect their life and there's no obsessive addiction then i don't think it would cause problems.
However if they would rather spend time watching it than spending time with their partner then that's a BIG PROBLEM! . Also anything that just involves watching is not cheating , however if it's interactive with cam models etc then yes that's cheating ! especially if it's done behind the partner's back. Or if they have porno images of someone they know/ or ex partner on their phone etc then yes that's wrong if they're already in a relationship. Last edited by GoldHeart; 10-11-2018 at 11:14 PM. |

Speaking of cheating. They have a robot brothel in Houston now. Our friends mentioned it, asking if it should be considered cheating... but it depends on how realistic the robots are. If they can learn your name, can interact with you emotionally... pretty sure that's cheating in my book, no matter however they put it. (well, especially how they put it, but you know...)
It wouldn't seem at first to be practical for to be the cause. Is a robot really going to replace a real human-being. Well.. the reality is, our chemistry is wired to respond to things that behave or mimic us in very emotional ways. If you can rebutt that connection, cool. I wouldn't go as far as to say that we should be scared a lover would run off with a robot, but I would think the emotional attachment to a fictional human-being would be very disruptive for a relationship in the very least. Especially if that person plays with it enough that they build a significant connection/persona around it. After all it would check all the boxes you tell it to, listens to all your problems and with some extra tech, it can even behave however you want as well... There's already people who are attached to 3D-printed "robots". I watched an episode from a show about how people who were really into it online. I wish I could remember the name of it, because it was available online and was really good. There was a French lady in it who decided to marry one that didn't move. It was just something she made with a 3D printer iirc and parts. Some of them don't even do anything. They're just mannequins. But, they built them to be pretend. Humans are very skilled social creatures, especially with regard to mimicry. That was so clear during that show. It's weird how she seemed to have developed robot-like features herself, while trying to make it seem "relatable" to the cameras. So from that perspective, I can understand and even empathize where some may decide in a relationship to discourage/prohibit just pornography. Maybe that does transition off-screen. Though I think with most people (not all!), it requires a bigger mental connection than just skin-to-skin to want to be with someone long-term, and pornography and robots aren't going to cut it... but those who are having issues, they may seek those "activities" as an outlet and maybe in some instances it bridges out to other behaviors... Myself, I tend to think of porn like reading a book, but with mostly explicit scenes. We all technically watch porn if we have ever seen most Hollywood movies, in my view. And yeah, people do think tend to feel like they need to be like that in their own bedroom, so I wouldn't say it doesn't affect us either... |

Yeah but that's what I mean. It depends on your perspective of a partner enjoying the videos/images of a stranger having sex.
