It's the youth culture and background , the music and upbringing has alot to do with it aswell , it can be annoying with some people but others just talk like that so . And we can all understand Myles so her comment about him was ignorant .

When it gets really annoying is when they make no sense or can't string a sentence together like text speak which gives me a headache .

But people make up their own slang terms these days .

People have always made up slang terms, look how many phrases Shakespeare added to the language. I live in a very rural area and my local town is almost completely white. If you stand outside the high school when the kids chuck out, you can hear them, speaking like black kids when they probably haven't ever met a black kid. And I'm told that's youth culture or something... when in reality it's as silly and affected as adopting any other kind of fake accent.
