Funny how Shaughna ‘suddenly’ liking Luke M....even her best buddy had no idea....reeks desperation to me. Mike got slaughtered for suddenly turning his attentions to Jess after Leanne dumped him even though he showed a liking for her when she first came in...

I also said it the other day difference is Shaughna hasn't done anything about it and it took her a week to be interested in someone, Mike took 5 seconds and acted on it straight away and done it infront of Leanne and Luke M on purpose. Listen...Mike got dumped...he didn’t dump Leanne. Once he got dumped he moved on to Jess who he said he liked the look of when she came into the villa. Leanne dumped him and he moved on to the Jess...I don’t see the problem. He was a bit full on but so what
On the other hand Shaughna has only had eyes for Callum...he dumped her. She showed no interest in anyone until she got excited about Jamie asking her on a date...no connection there. Then out of the blue she shows an interest in Luke M who has been messed around and becomes her only option to keep her in for the last week imo. Even Paige was shocked at this sudden interest...and she’s her best mate...it couldn’t be more obvious.
Mike moving on to Jess was less a shock to what Shaughna is doing...she has never shown an interest in Luke before tonight ...and this is based on the main show not what may have been shown on Aftersun.

I think there a bit of a difference here though. Mike was very shady in the way he was going about things. He came across as being very committed towards Leanne but then after she dumped him he was straight away trying it with Jess. Then when he was with Jess he did the same thing, telling her all these sweet things she’d want to hear but it was all bull$hit and was straight cracking onto people in Casa Amor.

With Shaughna, where she was with Callum for a fair bit of time in there and it’s now no more, I think she’s just in a stage of confusion at the moment. Whilst I can see that it may come across as a bit desperate because of the timing of everything (even still it’s more time she has left before getting to know someone compared to Mike), there maybe have been small hints that she’s been attracted to Luke M that we’ve probably been missing (like what Paige mentioned about the snog marry pie task).

He wanted Sophie before Jess, If you remember Mike telling Callum he's interested in Sophie and Jess(seconds after being dumped). Went to Sophie first but when she said brother he never tried so he went to Jess. that's what you call desperation

i wish i could forget Sophie

yeah it was especially doing it in front of people on purpose as well. As soon as he got to casa amor he forgot about Jess really quick. So there is a huge difference between the two.

Yeah I 100% agree it's not really desperation, now she's been single for a week and is trying to move on so she will get new feelings for people. Has not acted on it yet, we're not sure if she will because as you said she might be confused.

Shaughna hasn't really had the time to be interested in others because she was with Callum for about 4 weeks and this past week she was dealing with it and you can't really get over someone that quickly. Since Jamie got her on the date, she started to be ready to date again so all these new feelings are coming to her. She's just deciding what she wants There's no signs she will act on it though.

I agree that Mikes behaviour did come across as desperate moving full on so quickly...but Shaughna now showing an interest in Luke M seems desperate to me because it’s come out of the blue and after Jamie wasn’t what she had hoped for.
Shaughna is insecure...She’s obviously hooked up with too many ‘Callums’ in the past..I don’t think there is anyone in there for her unfortunately.

...I don’t think that Shaughna ‘suddenly’ likes LukeM, so much as it’s something that may be possibly worth exploring/evolving from circumstances that they’ve both experienced in there...when she was with Callum, her whole focus was on him ....she’s someone who would focus on her coupling, in her character..?...so I can’t imagine her having any romantic interest in anyone else when in a coupling like she was...and then since Casa Amor...so far as she knew, LukeM and Natalia were very much a couple ...and she’s never shown any interest for anyone else who has been snuggly in a couple, so she would never have explored any feelings before that she may be now looking at ...obviously, Natalia’s rejection of Luke has come at a similar time to Jamie coming in and she was chosen for a date with him...so she was looking at any possible connection there...and realising that there want any, has probably been something that’s made her realise that there may be one with Luke...?...it may just be that her connection with him feels stronger than that with Jamie, but still not strong enough to form anything romantic..?..but that’s something they would have to explore together to know...(...if they both decide to explore it...)...

...I absolutely can’t see any ‘desperate’ at all, just circumstances in how their previous couplings have evolved...(...or not evolved..)...which means that this is the first time they’re both able to explore any possibilities...
