I think there a bit of a difference here though. Mike was very shady in the way he was going about things. He came across as being very committed towards Leanne but then after she dumped him he was straight away trying it with Jess. Then when he was with Jess he did the same thing, telling her all these sweet things she’d want to hear but it was all bull$hit and was straight cracking onto people in Casa Amor.

With Shaughna, where she was with Callum for a fair bit of time in there and it’s now no more, I think she’s just in a stage of confusion at the moment. Whilst I can see that it may come across as a bit desperate because of the timing of everything, there maybe have been small hints that she’s been attracted to Luke M that we’ve probably been missing (like what Paige mentioned about the snog marry pie task).

He wanted Sophie before Jess, If you remember Mike telling Callum he's interested in Sophie and Jess(seconds after being dumped). Went to Sophie first but when she said brother he never tried so he went to Jess. that's what you call desperation
