Default What’s your sleep schedule like at the moment?

Are those of you who’ve been laid off from uni. for the foreseeable going to bed at 10am or are you trying to keep some normal sleep routine about you?

Somewhere between "terrible" and "somewhat non-existent" but it's slowly improving night by night I think.

Still having to get to work (in my living room ) ~10am but it's nice waking up a bit later. Prob about the same amount of sleep tho because I've also been sleeping later usually.

My sleep pattern has been trashed by a combination of having no real routine anymore, and anxiety going through the roof...

Pretty great for me at the moment actually. Going to bed at the usual time (around 1am) but getting up at 9 - 9.30ish so a full 8 hours every night, when on a "normal" week (with school run) I'm up at 7, so barely getting 6 hours. As happens every school holiday, after about a week of more sleep it's like emerging from a permanent fog that I apparently just live in the rest of the time . You may say, "Go to bed earlier when you need to be up at 7, then!" but what you don't understand is that I want to watch telly. I want to watch it more than I value my wellbeing goddamnit

It's circular too; the lack of sleep will make your anxiety worse. For me, a lot worse, to the extent that I sometimes think all of my anxiety symptoms are actually sleep deficiency symptoms .

Anxiety affects sleep and sleep affects anxiety, it's a brutal Catch-22... don't be afraid of getting something to help you sleep at the moment.

I think I'm catching up on all the sleep I've lost over the years. A good full nights sleep and a cheeky nap in the afternoons. Don't think I've slept as much since I was an early teenager.

Rosie has mastered some sort of stealth technique where she can get into the bed, snuggled down on her back in between us, without waking either of us?? She's turned into a clumsy lump in the last 3 weeks so I'm baffled, but there she is every morning, snoring in my face.

It's also circular in that I can't sleep at night, therefore crash out for a bit in mid afternoon, so also can't sleep at night because of that ...

I'm thinking of just forcing myself to stay awake all day, taking something at my normal sleeptime, and repeating until I'm back in a normal cycle...
