He's a really fun & funny guy that never holds a grudge and sees people for their values over their flaws. He clearly viewed Renee that way despite their ongoing beef. You hardly ever see the guy ranting to others in the room about how awful this other person is even if he himself has had issues with the person. He's not flawless but he's actually heavily over-hated and has a lot of commendable qualities And he has a lot of supporters too for good reason

If you remember even when Renee and Aubrey went OFF on him, he didn't whine and rant and escalate the situation, he calmed himself and talked with Marnie the next day about how they didn't need to go there and get so personal. At the least he's a decent guy deep down that can be ignorant for the sake of a good laugh / good time sometimes but I don't even think he's actually very mean-spirited at his worst from what we saw.
