[QUOTE=letmein;10860113]Little Britain and Catherine Tate were **** shows. All they were were one catch phrases repeated ten billion times. absolutely awful shows

Not Going Out is pretty good, if a bit middling. What else is there? I can't think of any other current BBC comedies

Ohhhh yeah! It'd be cool if a Christmas special for G+S could be a regular thing, I've often thought they should do that with My Family.

Fake news.

They've been taken down from streaming services for the time being whilst the world is going through what it is and will be put back up in the future and take their places within their own historical context. You want to watch or read either? YOU CAN.

Nothing to do with heaps of metal that serve no purpose other than to idolise people who should not be idolised.

Well I don't think this is entirely true. Sketch shows were around long before LB.

British comedy is only seen in the state you claim it is if your view of it is through the traditional (and now very dated) studio sitcom. That's not where you're going to find the quality. That's where you'll find traditional and safe/nostalgic comedy.

It's like complaining music is dead because you don't like the top 40. Broaden your horizons.

I think it's more to do with the stereotypes than whether it showed inequality.

Again... it's not. Matt Lucas has been apologising for it in every interview he's done for years.

To be fair I don’t care for statues anyways.

I think it’s setting a bad example to our youth showing that they can just go and basically destroy anything and get away Scott Free

the reason they are being taken off the platforms is that they are not watched by many people anyway, and it's more hassle to keep them now as all they were was filler content

i feel like people don't get the difference between a show poking fun at bigots and racists and a show literally having the cast in black face....

The large majority of our young people are great but there are some who simply don’t respect authority/ people / or property.

They’re the ones I’m concerned about ..

It's getting out of hand now. Little Britain was made to be a shocker. I remember watching it and couldn't believe some of the acts they did - but they were funny (for the most part). Same with Bo Selecta.

This "preventative maintenance" of their program libraries is a waste of time. Things are so widely available on the internet now, so whether or not Channel 4 or BBC pull programming from their platforms fortunately it's still easily obtainable.

The way things are going I'm concerned things are going to be so PC and overly censored that free speech will no longer exist how we once knew it.

If its so widely available on the web then whats the problem for a streaming company to remove it from their service?
