Show business and the creative industries are really diverse industries so it's not surprising that they tend to accommodate left-wing stance more. People don't tend to speak up against people they have first-hand experience working with. After all, anyone who speaks up against the BLM movement is essentially speaking up against black people. The only ones comfortable enough to have such strong opinions are people with too limited exposure to ethnic minorities to be able to see them as human beings.

I'm not sure about, the film industry is constantly criticised for its lack of diversity both in race and also in gender and class. Arts and entertainment ranks in the five least diverse industries here:

That's why Fox strikes a chord with people who are suspicious of actors making token gestures and telling them how to think when they enjoy huge wealth and comfort and work in a sector which is much more problematic than most blue collar industries
