New World Order, control through fear, covert permanent altering of civil rights, etc. It's not THAT wild of a theory (aside from Covid obviously being real), mainly because the wealth of billionaires has expanded
massively during Covid so yes there are very powerful people with a lot to gain, and part of a "true" New World Order would involve heavy economic restructuring anyway, and "writing off" a tonne of international debt or making it irrelevant, so the short term economic cost becomes moot.
It's conspiracy nonsense of course (... probably
...) but it's not inherently illogical.
