Also a number of court cases were thrown out last night after they admitted they had no evidence at all

Where on Earth did you get that from? A fascist state wouldn't have a free press able to call out the leader, it certainly wouldn't allow the constant riots or even the peaceful protests which preceded them, and wouldn't have two chambers able to veto the president's actions.

The USA wasn't and isn't anywhere close to fascism.

Literally this. Some people aren’t happy that Biden is president and are covering it up by saying they don’t support Trump either. It’s a desperate attempt to say the least

All of the fascist precursors were there, just like they are here. Fascism doesn't happen overnight, and nobody rides into power on a promise of it.

You can dislike both but trying so hard to make Biden look worse then Trump is pathetic and childish

Are there people I would rather see as president of the united states than Biden? Absolutely.

But Trump has been a disaster. A political and sociological disaster, for the entire world. An inevitable and perhaps necessary one? Maybe, there are lots of arguments for why that might be the case, I think (and hope) that MANY lessons have been learned in the past 4 years and hopefully going forward things will only improve. When Biden leaves office... wouldn't it be ****ing lovely to see a good-humoured election between two respectable, respectful, professional candidates?

I think there's a pretty good chance that the 2024 Republican candidate's surname is 'Trump'

Alot of things will have to go in Trumps favour for him to run again and I just dont see it happening.

Firstly, he needs the media. He's nothing when he's not in the news all the time. I just dont see which media outlet will support him when he's out of office. No credible news outlet for sure. If he starts his own then...but that raises another issue. I really cant see people just letting this man rise up again like he did unopposed in 2015. There are still a number of pending investigations into his business affairs and those will only intensify when he leaves office. He doesn't have enough money to cover his 400 odd million dollar debt and pay all the lawyer fess he's going to face. As I said at the beginning he's gonna have to be very lucky and people will have to let him get away with too much.

He has remodelled the Republican party in his own image though and been a bigger electoral force than any other candidate in recent history. When he first got the Republican nomination - and even the Presidency - there was quite a lot of dissent within the GOP that has since evaporated

It might not even be him in 2024 but a run from Ivanka or Donald Trump jnr are both possible

i don't think the GoP will shift from a voting base that large, so even if it wasn't a Trump, it will be someone with similar policies. The dems haven't yet come to terms with the fact that they disenfranchised all those voters and it's them that need to change if they want things to change
