As for the other riots (I'm not calling them BLM, they lose the right to be called anything but thugs), they were worse in terms of victims. Vast swathes of cities burning, versus a few bloody politicians getting their feathers ruffled?

You're being disingenuous again and I'm not sure why when it's so easy for me to point it out and discard it. You'd think you'd learn that this approach won't work by now but oh well...
Most of the victims in the BLM protests were protesters killed by the police when the protest was opposed to police brutality. To make out that it's the protests' fault is just dumb. People went out to peacefully protest, they didn't march on Capitol Hill, erect a ****ing Gallows and invaded a government building with weapons, ties and plans to kidnap people.
I like how you say you aren't downplaying what happened.... Only to then downplay the whole incident as 'a few bloody politicians getting their feathers ruffled'. A lack of awareness is a common trait amongst radicalised people and it's certainly radicalised behaviour to downplay what was an act of terrorism upon US democracy.
Take a good look at yourself, Oliver. You really need to.
