The Crown (written by an anti - monarchist) is mainly fiction but many people believe its way OTT portrayal of Diana, Charles and Camilla is the truth. It really isn’t.
Camilla has come a long way from getting rotten eggs thrown at her in the street and having to hide indoors for months. She has quietly worked at her many charities and has devoted herself to supporting Charles and the Queen all these years. I never thought I’d say this, because I loved Diana, but she has earned the respect she now has from many in the public and the Queen. Fair play to her.

That’s not the version I read / saw .
I was under the impression the terrible two were having an affair before the wedding day until well after ... and in between as well .
I’ve never heard about that 5 year gap you refer to .. and I don’t believe it either
Sounds like complete hogwash
