Don't blame them tbh, it's a bit ridiculous that small businesses have to surrender a percentage of their own money just to use card transactions.

I basically always use cash for small or local businesses. And card for big corps because fck those guys

I expect at SOME point as money goes more and more digital, they'll make it easier (and free) for small businesses to take contactless card payments.

I suppose. But the thing is, Ollie, there are people who roll into their local a day or two before payday and barely have £4.80 for their Santander or Barclays account to rub together. Unless there’s a post-office nearby to withdraw cash and they can even be arsed going all the way, people like that are depending on using their cards to pay for their pints and shots.
