Initially to piss off my Dad and Brother. They are both big Bolton fans and so by default hated Utd so I made them my team. My friend came round once with a Utd scarf on and our kid set fire to it in the garden
My mum was a Utd fan because she used to go to the games as she fancied Georgie Best (she hated gootball though )

No my Mum was from North London (like a lot of Utd fans lol) but moved up here when she was 6 her Mum is from Newton Heath and my Dad is from near Bolton and his whole family have been Bolton fans forever.
