I'm sure that he'll do some sort of PR stated apology over the next few days.
And unfortunately, Actors more than anyone these days have been taught to say every political thought that comes to mind (especially of the left persuasion,) and I do think that in David Tennant's bid to try and look good with the Trans community, he instead worded something else in a way that can come across as encouraging criminal conduct towards not just a woman, but also someone that has different political beliefs to himself, which obviously is never a good look for anyone (ask Putin.)
I think that he should've thought about what he was going to say more carefully about Kemi Bodenach, rather than trying to appease a community that already highly respects him.
I still believe that he isn't like the guy threatening Diane Abbott, but it was definitely poorly thought out in my view.
