Palmer and Saka can play together, no doubt about it. GS needs to drop Foden, start Palmer instead.

We were poor, like we have been all tournament, but we scraped through. However, bar Saka being our saviour, and easily our best player, we look so poor. Spain will destroy us if they overcome the boring wall of France, and we can beat the winner of this game playing now.

i thought foden and Saka were good today. I believe the biggest problem is Kane getting in the way of the other players and forcing them out of position

Foden was mince as usual, 5 games in a row. He is stealing a place

Kane is an actual liability

Kane was terrible, is he unwell, he was sweating abnormally and I think he ran into the dug out and fell over on purpose to get taken off

Why do you watch football? It seems to make you miserable.

England are unbeaten in the tournament and are still alive into the semi-finals. Yet every single post of yours is negative and making out that it's disastrous.

What would you have done if we'd have lost our 3 group games and already be out?

I'd have celebrated the end of the Southgate administration.

Southgate's tactics come from another decade, he takes too long to make subs, and he's relying on his great players to get him out of trouble. Once again they did. That cant last.

He's had 100 games in charge now and we still act like he's some kind of novice and we should just be happy to be in the competition

But his tactics have done well throughout his tenure.

He's qualified for every tournament they've entered. He's reached the last 4 countries in the World at a World Cup. He reached the last 2 countries in Europe last Euros. And he's reached the last 4 countries in Europe again this time. Still with the opportunity to improve on that position.

He's surpassed any other English manager in history besides Sir Alf who won a tournament. But even he failed to qualify for the 74 World Cup.

As an Arsenal fan, you should know from the George Graham days, that you don't have to be the most attractive team to be successful.

All of what you've said is true.

The problem is him. He doesn't talk or act like an elite manager. The Kalvin Phillips comment sums up my point.

When you hear Pep talk he is never too far from talking about how to make the team better. Pass better, defend better etc. GS talking about a player who, I'd say, was never a stand out player like he's prime Steven Gerrard tells me GS is not about 'better'. Its all very safe, which is fine in the group stage and the qualifiers, but when you get to the show you've got to put on a show. He's doesnt see this at all and its like he's too scared to go for it.

I could go on and explain further that his loyalty to players like Phillips, Maguire, Henderson etc also makes my point. He's exactly like how I'd expect say Graham Potter to be as England manager and I'm no fan of his.

GS could go on to win this but it wont be down to him, it'll be the players who change things to win a game.

I remember, on here, you were quite disappointed after the Italy final you mentioned. What happened. How did the deep state get to you.

Of course I was unhappy. We didn't win that one. Still took it to a penalty shoot-out though. His tactics still got him that far.

I was disappointed for the way we just went into all out defense at such an early stage of the game, just because we scored early. So on that occasion, his tactics didn't work, and we got beat for it.

It's much better to critise failure rather than success.

True but it depends on what we define as success.

I remember you being quite critical, cheers for acknowledging that, I was not sure but was kind of confident I recall you were disappointed. I also appreciate your reasons.

I think its gonna be the same though. I cant see this manager doing what he needs to do

You were definitely right about that.

And I know that people will just be happy with the results in the England and France camps, but I do feel sorry for the fans of both teams that traveled to Germany in the hopes of being entertained by their teams, and this is the quality of entertainment that they've put on show for their fans.

Plus Football is meant to be an entertainment product, UEFA should be alarmed at how two really boring teams could possibly meet each other for the final.

I'm happy that England have gone through obviously, but we do need to be more entertaining to watch.
