To be fair though this apparently applies to a large proportion of the NBA in the US. Lots of players with far more technical skill than the tall lads who would utterly dominate if they were tall enough... But you basically have a much smaller chance of being a pro basketball player if you're not unusually tall (like over 6'8).

Im not using that as justification per se just an interesting thought... The best players aren't always necessarily the most skilled players, some element of biology can come into it.

The inverse is true of power-lifting, the squat little chaps can often lift more than guys who are taller - simple physics/leverage.
