Remembering Kerry
|
They haven't let anyone out yet.
It's nonsense. It will be decided who is released early by the Justice secretary, bthe Justice department and the parole organisation. There's at least a third of people in prison who've never done anything violent whatsoever. They shouldn't be in prison at all iny view. That alone would open up loads of spaces. However, there is also as the last lot which were in government were looking at too. Where I understand those who would be due for parole likely sometime next year and getting them out this year instead in September/ October time It will NOT however just be the government's Minister making the decision it will be made involving all across and involved in the Justice system. This is just more scaremongering in the main. There are names been deemed for release which are rather disturbing. There will be strict rules applied to them and supervision we are told. However Labour members are not happy and will be pressing for a re-think. IF those names are in effect released then I'll criticise. Because behind the scenes there's a lot of protesting about it. It's unfortunate the original sentence wasn't longer in those cases. However it's not desirable or acceptable. Last edited by joeysteele; 08-08-2024 at 09:25 PM. |
