Now Glenn don't try to take the affirmation of the US election results away from the British TiBB men, it's all some of them have left.

Like I asked Vanessa earlier, why isn’t the rape of a woman higher on your moral radar than your support of him?
As a loud advocate for women’s rights LT and a father of a daughter why have you turned a blind eye to the violation of a woman? It’s almost as if you don’t care for women’s rights at all unless it’s against a buzz story about a trans person ![]()

I do (legitimately) find it extremely sad that anyone would assess whether or not a day was great for them personally on the basis of any political event, let alone another nation's elections. If it genuinely warms your cockles I find that bleak and sad. Like, I joke and take the piss, but all jokes aside, finding any sort of real joy in this is an existential black hole that I can't even imagine LT. By all means enjoy it but fk me. It's an empty bottle of nothing sauce. |

As expected. No response.
Same with Vanessa and Kate too. No response. Because there’s no justification for it.

What i want to know is how Trump is going to go into California and forcibly remove immigrants. Thats not going to happen without declaring war on the state. The same applies to all the other democratic held states

people will hand wring for years trying to find someone to blame. The simple fact is that democracy is a very fragile thing and its incompatible in the modern day with the existence of social media etc

I personally wouldn't likely elect a convicted individual of any really unsavoury crimes to a position of power now.
So I guess I'd agree he shouldn't be. However I'm not American, thank goodness because it seems more of them have gone out their minds in electing this paranoid narcissist as President. Thankfully in just around three and a half years, this election process will be again going on in the USA. With this narcissist not a candidate and after the next election leaving the World political stage for good. What disruption and division he will possibly dangerously create in the next 3 years maybe doesn't bear thinking about. However very sadly and worrying it's the USA's choice. The mechanism is a "win" for Trump fans today -- but, for example, the gender ideology rhetoric those same people cannot stand, is a result of exactly the same mechanism. |

There are other far darker individuals with real ideological agendas clinging to his coat tails. My hope is that they don't have the charisma to get over the line -- but I suspect they'll be keen to find another meat puppet to get their hands into. On a more hopeful note, I would say they have put SO much into building Trump into a colossus that there is going to be an almost inevitable drop in their voter base engagement when he's gone. Heck of a lot of those voters are out to vote for Trump, and Trump specifically. They'll find a new figurehead for sure but not one with the same following as Trump over-night.

My husband -an American - reckons the main reason he was was that Harris was so bloody awful.
