My Grandfather on my Mum's side was actually Irish but passed before I was born and I've never been very connected with the Irish side of the family, maybe time to change that

My Mum was on the ball and got one just after Brexit, she gets very smug now flying through passport control on European trips while the rest of us schmucks stand in line for ages

I'd definitely recommend the wild Atlantic way, that's basically all up the west coast - West Cork, Kerry, Clare, Galway. You could stop in for a visit
