Apparently there are genetic reasons why some people literally can’t stand the smell or taste (for me the smell is worse than the taste, but neither work for me) or cucumber while others love it. For better or worse, depending on who you are, pickling gherkins and cucumbers in vinegar/brine only amplifies the vibe of cucumber.
I like the idea of cucumber in terms of hydration, skincare (less-so, though; that’s not a dealbreaker for me) and just fresh vitality but I can’t even get past the smell so I just can’t. I tend to stick to celery, water and watermelon (and stuff like it) when I want the give the old hydration-nugget a boost.
