and even if they had given birth do you think any normal one would object to be called a mama

If there was a group of you (mixed gender) and I came in and said ‘Hi guys’ to address the group, would that bother you?

…the term wouldn’t really register with me…but though, I have used it myself and it’s been noted that ‘hey all/hey folk’ would be more appropriate, so that’s fine…I’ve used that instead…I’ve also said hey girlies when there have been males present also…

I decided a while ago to limit all discussions of trans issues and UK immigration / migrants to their own threads. They're pretty divisive on the forum, and causing arguments and reports. It's not really what this forum is about also.

I was waiting for more threads on these topics to be created.

So post topics and news stories about transgender issues in this thread.

…I’m totally with your stance regarding transgender stories/discussions etc…but I have to say with this one…?…it’s not necessarily transgender related that seems to have been an assumption…this is all I can find from the FB group in regards to Admin rules…

Debate and discussion is healthy and welcomed but we draw a line at bullying, nastiness, name calling and rudeness.We rely on a safe, confidential environment within the group. Anything that is posted in the group stays within the group. No screenshotting and posting elsewhere. We are a fully inclusive group and respect peoples pronouns. We do not tolerate racism, transphobia, xenophobia etc. These will be instant removals as is Blocking admin or rudeness towards admin.


…and that all seems fair wording to me in terms of rules…and it totally may be that there is an addition to that as previously has been posted but I’m also cynical enough in this current divisive climate to feel that there may have been some editing as well, I’m really not sure …but just not a definite trans-gender related story …

…yeah, that’s what I found and also that screenshots from there shouldn’t be taken off site so it’s hard to know if it’s something that was genuinely said or whether text has been manipulated/changed because that isn’t so rare in our present world…I like to fact check as much as I can and it’s not possible to do so with this for a non member of the group…
