…I honestly had no knowledge of Charlie Kirk at all before he was murdered…(…I did have a vague knowledge of Turning Point as an organisation…)…and there is so much that he’s quoted as saying that completely contrasts my own thoughts/beliefs …and I do believe, as you say Niamh…that ‘activism’ on both and all sides is motivated by income as well…I’ve watched some of Charlie Kirk’s debates since his death just to get an idea of who he was and why so controversial…and I’m still kind of mulling through those but one thing that does strike me as a huge positive about him…is while he was debating and talking with people of so many different views and lifestyles to his own…?…he was relating to them and with them with a level of ‘human understanding’ that maybe he was also learning to be more tolerant…? I've seen Kirk talk about this at Cambridge and his argument is that there is the ritual law, the ceremonial law and the moral law and Christians are only bound to the moral law which Christ affirms in the New Testament, not the other two which are prevalent in the Old Testament because Christ brought a new covenant between God and mankind

It's weird that we know Charlie believed that some loss of life is worth it to protect the 2nd Amendment, but when it came to trans shooters there were "too many"....

Though this was a man that said trans people were an abomination, that gay people shouldn't marry or be able to adopt, insinuated homosexuality was "an error" while also likening homosexuality to addiction by comparing pride to like 'affirming a drug addict' -- so if Charlie didn't hate LGBT people, I'm not sure what I'd want to hear from him about those he does.

on The Benny Show. Chairman Carr put Disney on notice that they were going to have to defend Kimmel’s sick lies about Charlie’s death before the FCC. We made them defend the indefensible. Make them eat it.

Then my team contacted ABC, Disney and local station owners all day. This is key. ABC creates the programming BUT privately owned local affiliates choose to broadcast the programming — or not. They have the power.

There are hundreds of stations with moral, patriotic audiences who love Charlie Kirk and are sickened by Kimmel. We asked these broadcast affiliates why they would continue to carry such indefensible programming by ABC? To their great credit, Nexstar and Sinclair, two massive ABC affiliates that reach 37 million households told us they were pulling Kimmel out of respect for their viewers.

A historic moment. Can’t think of another time that has been done.

This is the free market. Kimmel chose to attack Kirk. Viewers chose to not watch Kimmel. If local viewers turn off Kimmel en-masse the local stations have catastrophic loss in ad revenue and the system collapses. Drop an FCC investigation on top of that and Disney has no choice but to rip the toxic programming from the air.

This is a generational culture war victory.
