Yeah, it just isn't really possible to have BB as a proper social experiment anymore. You just can't really say anything. Don't get me wrong I'm not advocating for people to be harassed or bullied in there but surely a better way is for HMs to pull each other up and for them to deal with it amongst themselves (obviously unless it's something really really bad or actually threatening)

Yeah I agree with this. The Hazel/Daley drama always comes to mind for me as one of the most genuinely intense/scary situations that could/would have escalated outside of the house

I remember watching that whole thing go down on the live stream, it was shocking and uncomfortable to watch. BB handled that situation appallingly. They cut the HL show a certain way that didn't make Daley look as bad, then worse still, the interview with Emma, where Emma basically babied him and was very sympathetic towards him suggesting it was really his fault and he was pushed too far, pathetic. I like Emma but that was a massive low point for her.

If you look at that series compared to this, even that as a C5 series was a million times better than this current ITV era sh!te.

…yeah, I do think there’s a duty of care, obviously and also they would be taken off air if warnings weren’t given for certain behaviours…but it’s totally conflicting and frustrating atm because personalities and belief systems etc are put into the house for the whole purpose of clashes and confrontations and dramas …BB was never a house of like-minded people from similar environments…and in today’s more divided political/society world, division is sadly such a big thing…so it’s kind of, yes that what’s happening with housemates and what you BB producers engineered or hoped for, really…so let’s now remove that person that we put in to create clashes and controversy as soon as they create clashes and controversy and then nothing will be discussed and excuse me, why…?….I mean, it just doesn’t make sense…anyway I just don’t know why he was ejected but that’s also the point…if we don’t know…(as fans..)…if they don’t show those moments and make it clear that he breached all rules and acceptability of behaviour…?..then where are the talking points for us…?…what does that leave us but nothingness and flatness and where is the social experiment in nothingness and flatness…?…

…we can think and say that something is deplorable, let’s just say that, that’s what it was…but it’s like the Jade Goody/Jo O’Meara/Shilpa huge BB controversial season and others …if we don’t know and it’s not shown and it doesn’t create public attention and discussion and all of that jazz…?..then what was the point…what is this show…/…who is she…??!!!!!!!….because she isn’t BB and the reason we’ve loved her and why 25 years on from the first series, we still came back…

yeah, that's my feeling on it all. Aggressive behaviour, recognisable hate speech etc i can understand getting a warning/thrown out but policing based on a hm running to the diary room crying just doesn't cut it.

I gave the show a rest last night, not because i liked george, i didn't, but i do want a good explanation from the producers or there is no point getting invested in the show

…I mean I do feel and got the vibe that George was acting a role../…that he threw things out there just for controversial ‘value’ as if he was posting on social media or the like just for reaction..I don’t know, he just felt flat to me with no depth to what he apparently believed…anyway, BB know the housemates that they’re putting in, they know the blend and reactions that they’re hoping to achieve and then if that all happens and creates something that could be discussed and should be discussed…?…they just leave us with nothing…we can’t discuss George being ejected, the biggest event in the season because we don’t know why…

…I’m not saying to not eject a housemate…but show the fans what led up to that happening as BB and ‘talked about’ for controversial incidents and moments’ have always been the foundation and staple of the show…and things that people experience in their lives so if they’re experienced in the house, then that should open up a discussion/rather than a division…

He's like a rubbish version of Joel from the year Nikki, Helen, and Aisleyne came back. Even if you disagreed with Joel, he could argue his point, and even if he was playing Devil's Advocate he at least creat3d discussion.

George throws things out there in a way that doesn't really invite discussion, and then just gives up when the loudmouths bleat over him.

Yep. It makes so sad for earlier BBs and for the forum too when we're left with nothing to talk about. At this rate it's going to just be an echo chamber. I'm close to giving up on it tbh. BB today is like the Ghost of Big brothers past

…it’s strange because I went to vote to save earlier and I wasn’t able to as all of the voting has been cancelled because of George’s ejection, obviously…and it’ll re-open later today, it says…not to go all conspiracy theory but going all conspiracy theory @bots made the comment earlier in the week that he thought nominations would be a bit later/say Wednesday and the voting would probably open on Thursday because there is no phone voting anymore so no money made from having the votes open as early as Tuesday…but then it did all go to old BB form with nominations on Monday and us seeing them and being able to vote from Tuesday…but then George has been ejected so essentially the votes are opening on Thursday, as @bots thought they would…as if this was all a planned schedule, bots…?….

…anyway, not much to discuss other than conspiracy theories and how it’s all going to plan for BB…
