Worms dont really get to feed on the body, by the time they have gotten through the box you go in (even one of the new biodegradable cardboard coffins) your insides have jellified and rotted, most of your skin and muscle tissue has rotted.
That is of course unless some time after death a fly laid eggs on or in you in which case, the larva get a good feed on you. Happy Thoughts! |

I can see why people don't want to donate ... but personally I don't think its a problem. I don't give 2 ******s what happens to me once I'm dead.
I think the government should go for an opt-out procedure and make it compulsory if people feel that strongly against it. No matter what people have said- its the government, funded by everyone in the country, who has looked after us all our lives so its giving something back. In theory, if you have an operation, then the person who ends up getting your liver or whatever contributed towards the operation you had when you were alive. |
